Beautifully done. I loved this. You say, under Author Notes 'I hope you enjoy my little silly stories.' There is nothing remotely silly about this gorgeous account.

One typo:

'Grown-ups can be so silly at times. (Insert a blank line after this to mark the new paragraph).

I enjoyed the drama around pregnancy and Sandra's and Kevin's innocence of not knowing where babies came from. I smiled at the line, "Can we give it back if we don't like it?" Yes, this is a silly story but it is a delightful story well told that many can identify with. Thank you for sharing and I wish you success in the contest.

My parents told me on a need to know basis for my age. After a certain point my mom had "the talk" she laid it all out on the table. By that time I knew how it all worked and how it happened but she did what she needed to do as a mom. I don't know if I would have told my kids I rolled around in the dandelions because...well I know kids who would think it's cool and want to try it to see if they could get a baby in their tummy. Yes, I know people who would try it. Don't ask. LOL. I'm sure it was frightening for you guys but I'm glad it all worked out and the baby was healthy six weeks early.

Hi, Linda, I'm really glad you liked this one. They really were innocent days, not like now, where the very young are talking about it. Thanks for your lovely review my friend. :) Sandra.

What an absolutely charming story that shows the innocence of children, and how little ones might, and I suppose did, think about the birth of a new family member.
It's funny that you noticed her head being so large.
Also interesting was the home birth, which you don't hear about much anymore. It seemed very warm and cozy.

I absolutely love the title. LOL, her Mum's mouth isn't big enough to swallow a baby. Makes perfect sense to me too.

LOL she'd be dead otherwise. I agree, these people are totally saying stupid things.

I love how you've told a biographical story. You've made it enormously interesting and adorable. The dialogue is perfect and in fact rang up a few deja vus for me, and the setting, everything.

Very nicely done, Sandra. Best wishes to you in the contest.

Gloria

You have such cute stories to tell, Sandra. And you tell them so well. I really enjoyed this story and could relate to it. There were four years between my brother and I. I remember when mom brought him home off the train. My grandfather was so excited that he had blue eyes. Never knew why until much later. Drew xx

Sandra this story is exceptional and I had to give you six stars. You made me laugh throughout your story and by the end, I was crying happy tears. This is absolutely beautiful, you and your brother are just divine and the dialogue is excellent.

Your author notes deserve six stars too. I love the story about your mum rolling in a field of dandelions and the seeds crept inside her - priceless! I have never heard that one before, but it is a beautiful little story to explain pregnancy to children.

I certainly enjoyed your story - definitely not silly and I didn't spot any errors at all.

Thanks for the entertaining story.

No, it didn't hurt us at all. I think children are made to grow up too soon now, so sad. But the times we are living in, they have to know in order to protect themselves. Thank you for the great review, my lovely friend, and for finding that nit, racing off now to correct it! :) xsx Sandra.
