'Can't you just do a 'selfie' and send Karen a picture on your mobile?' (omit 'just')
Laura turned on her laptop to send it (to) Karen.

tight cocktail dress because the picture was only from her hips upwards. (possibly change it to: the picture only showed Laura from the hips up.)

I'm guessing this is the beginning of the Red Swimsuit saga? The next chapter should be fun. :-)

I would if that wasn't the way we Scot's speak. We throw in so many 'just's' into the equation, it's probably really annoying, as is 'really!' You're a star, Sue. I will be convinced that this book is ready to publish when you're finished. Alexis xxx

Interesting to see how she deals with her problem. She's very self-conscious about her appearance, and yet confident and proud about losing so much weight. Funny how her son's embarrassed about taking a picture. Very realistic and well written. Les

Laura hasn't lost that much weight--just her bum! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Alexis x

Hahahaha! G'day Alexis, that's another great chapter mate. I don't see what the problem witht taking a photo of your mum in a bikini is! My aboriginal adopted mum (Doris) was usually naked as were all the tribal women LOL. Now I'm a bit confused about your coment last night on a review that said..."speaking of which.." please clarify it for my old brain Hahahaha! Cheers Fez

Lol, I think my son would have a nervous breakdown if he saw me naked! Re my reference to love lives. I was hinting for some inside info regarding your love life as a teenager in the tribe! Alexis xxx

I'm sure that picture is going to attract some attention! Perhaps getting stuck with the dating site for another month wasn't such a bad thing. I just hope she doesn't attract another creep.

What does "sod it" mean? It's one I've never heard over here. I have a feeling that photo will get Laura a date. LOL! In fact, I'm sure of it. :)

I expect the title of the TV show is another example of foreshadowing. An accurate telling of how a teen boy would react at taking a picture of Mom "half-naked." I'm guessing her third month on the date site will see some action.
Bet the cute profile picture of you got some too. :-)

Like Laura, I joined a dating site on a whim after my third lonely New Year. I only went on it occasionally though, and would have happily come off it after four weeks, if they hadn't conned me into another month! Alexis x

Yes, boys are funny about things like that. They grow up seeing their mum in a costume if, like my son, they're used to holidays by water, but somehow, when they become 'men,' it all changes!

Looking so good is boosting Karen's confidence no end - good for her posting the photo on the dating site and I hope someone good connects.

Before he met me, my Colin had a few dates via a dating site and each one had real strong hang-ups - one even a man-hater, which put him right off her - luckily for me -- ha ha.

A red hot mamma in a red bathing costume. Young men do get embarrassed about their mothers--I'm not sure why. Laura is lucky to have lost all that weight!

My son was mortified when I asked him to take a picture of me in my new swimsuit to send to my daughter. He still cringes when he thinks about it, especially when it appeared in the national press! Alexis x

What a fun chapter! Great writing, my friend. I didn't see anything to 'fix'. I like that you're putting in about the swimsuit! I love that!

Keep 'em coming. I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes.

Well, I couldn't waste it, could I?! Laura needs help promoting her friendship sites, so a little publicity won't go amiss. At least, when the books published, nobody can say that what happened to 57 year old Laura, just couldn't happen! He he...
