Priceless chapter! Karen's quite an actress when she wants to be, and good with the quick witted thinking. I think I'd really like her, if she were real. :-)

Okay, moving on to more chapters. It's nice to not have much to do today except read a good story!

Yes, I like Karen too. She's a combination of people I know, one of whom had her husband walk out on her after saying some horrible things she could never forget. She met her toy boy boyfriend of many years when she came to my birthday party, and has never looked back. That's how I know how hurt Karen will be feeling because my friend thought her marriage was okay when it happened too. Alexis xxx

Mark seems a little thick. Does he really think she's OK with selling the house? Somehow I don't think he's going to come out on top this time.

I'm hoping that he believes Karen needs her share of the proceeds of the house sale to start a fancy restaurant in the city centre. Fingers crossed he falls for it! Alexis x

Dear BC - Karen sure knows how to pull a bluff. Great writing, really strong dialogue that carries this post smoothly. Life like, and part of the bigger picture it works well with these characters and their past.
Great job overall.
Thanks for sharing,

And thank you for following, wc. Just back from France after a horrible experience, so just catching up and trying to get my head straight. I hope you're getting stronger every day. Alexis xxx

Great dialogue. With Karen you never know what she'll say next. I think she's still hurt by things he said a long time ago, and still cares enough for him to lie. Now, is that love, or what? Your chapters are moving along quite rapidly. I think it's the dialogue that makes it fot such an enjoyable read. Les

You may have hit the nail on the head, although the ending may be completely different to what I have now. Yes, Karen sometimes shoots her mouth off, with amusing results! Alexis x

I'm confused as to why Jenny is in this chapter. Aside from that I love how Karen tried to sabotage the sale. The thirty degrees would do it for me. Boy, the lies keep piling up.

Wow, that was a close call with the elderly couple. That plan almost backfired on her. I can sure understand her wanting to hang on to the house though and also, not wanting to tell her ex about her jobs. Look forward to the next chapter.

I couldn't resist it. All that planning to put buyers off, and they loved everything except the size! Alexis x

That was clever and she lucked out that it was too big a house!

The viewing went badly, but Karen's pleased - even wanting to hug Mr Stewart. I like her tactics to put viewers off, altho it didn't work with them.

I don't blame her lying to Mark - afterall, she doesn't want to move right now.

Hi Alexis. This was another great read. I just loved the way she set the place up and then found they were looking for something smaller. Exactly what agents do, for whatever reason. Loved the read, alf

Thank you, Brooke. My poor old muse has gone into hiding here in France, so I can't wait to get home tonight! Alexis x

Very clever! She turned it around beautifully... or rather YOU did. Terrific chapter, and if I had a six, I'd slap it down hard on this one. :)

It's the thought that counts, Phyllis. Thank you! Now at the airport for the first of two flights back to Scotland. Phew!
