I don't know anything about Bibi but if he is able to help bring peace to a troubled area then I wish him a long and prosperous life. Your eloquent poem says so much in so few words.

"For a time such as this...". That may be the most important message delivered to the joint house in years. Best wishes with your entry. Does your selected artwork suggest the fig tree blossoming?

I don't know. I thought about that, but it is a peaceful pic and that is what I wanted to evoke. Thank you Jean. Blessings. Barbara

Peaceful and politics rarely go together, but they merge beautifully in this Positive 5-7-5
political poem. It's nice to see the words peace and calm, our world would be so much better if they were spoken more often. Your match of photograph and poem say it all. Thank you.

This is a very good poem. I liked the picture of a park and the last line of the poem which referred to a politician coming to town. Good luck in the contest and thank you for sharing.

It is obvious from your poem and comment afterwards that you are an admirer of the Prime Minister. How wonderful for you to have political personality that can live up to your expectations. So many of them end up falling from our personal graces. I love the artwork!

I like the message here. if only we had a president that was even half the man that Bibi is I could be so proud of our national leader, but right now I have no pride in the holder of the office. I respect the office, just not the holder of the office right now. Patricia

Comment from Dean Kuch
Illinois Democrat Jan Schakowsky, an eight-term Jewish veteran of Congress and member of the party's House leadership, was quoted as having said that the most positive measure would be for Israeli voters to oust Netanyahu. Her anger was directed at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu following his recent speech to a joint meeting of Congress warning against a deal with Iran being negotiated by the Obama administration and six other governments.
Her harsh reaction to Netanyahu's speech may further complicate her relations with AIPAC. "I've been asked to make a choice between Boehner and Bibi, and Barack Obama, and I support Barack Obama," she said.
You just gotta love those whacky democratic liberal ultra conservatives.
Good stuff, and good luck to you in the contest. :)

This political 5-7-5 has the right form and syllable count according to contest rules. I regret to say that I am too uninformed or sleepy to know who Bibi is at this moment. Good luck to you, though. Jeanie Mercer
