Excellent wording. I find no fault with God's word for it is truth. Thank you for sharing. It lifts up our Lord. Blessings to you.

Beautiful and awesome. The whole Italian Sonnet is nice and especially the last line
"...feels my love within."

Your Italian Sonnet has good rhyming and it appears that you did what was required.

Good luck with it.

Hello poet friend. My first time reading your work. I enjoyed the powerful message of Hope and Rescue from the One and Only, the One who is there for us at all times. Just call on Him.
A great witness of the Word!
I have posted one simply titled, "Just Let Go." It is along the same lines, I would love for you to take a peek.
I enjoyed this and hope you enjoy the stars!

An excellent Italian Sonnet depicting the story of Peter. I thought that your writing flowed well in this piece and I liked the rhyme you introduced. I couldn't find any errors. An excellent piece...Jacob

What a beautiful sonnet. I have yet to try this variation. It read very smoothly until I got to the word "contrite" which threw the rhythm with its accent on the second syllable. I think "humbled" would work better there.

    Hi Flamingstar,

I love learning new things and so thank you for pointing out the work "contrite". I had no idea that some people stress the second syllable and some the first. Yep, you sent me to the dictionary to confirm since I stress the first syllable and it says both are acceptable. Looks like this is one of those works to put on the list to NOT use in metered poetry since it will always be wrong for someone.

Thank you for the suggested replacement. I will consider it and also look at just re-writing the last line entirely.

I appreciate you taking the time to read and offer suggestions to improve my writing.

    God bless. Debi

One of the better spiritual poems I've read on the site. Great use of enjambment for easy flow. I like the specific reference to two events in the Bible. Lovely closing lines.

This is a beautifully written and presented work of the love our Lord has for Hid children. I am blessed.

"Oh, ye of little faith don't doubt what's right.
I hope you know, you're precious in my sight.

It is such a blessing to know that he says we are precious in his sight. Patricia

For an Italian Sonnet this has excellent meter and a smoothness as if made of silk. Spiritual and very up lifting. Well penned. Les

Nice, very nice. I always appreciate a well written spiritual poem. We need to be reminded as often as possible. Thanks for sharing the Italian sonnet difference - I was looking for the final two lines until I read your notes. Have a great day.
