Dear Sandra - I can see how this picture inspired your poem. Which was a lovely prayerful response for a kitty. I enjoyed your rhymes and vivid imagery. This brought a smile to me this morning:)

Hi, Sandra.

This is cute and funny! Love the picture, too. I like the whimsical thoughts you have incorporated in this poem. A short tale from a cat's point of view.

The iambic meter is flawless, and strong rhyming makes it even more interesting. It has a nice sing-along feel to it. You captured her innocence really well LOL!

The ending made me chuckle:

Can I ask you a favour, God?
I'll be good every day!
Just find this cat another home,
somewhere that's far away.

Hehe! What a fun closing! I enjoyed reading this a lot.

And humorous it is Sandra. Short and to the point so that we don't get lost, which helps with funny poetry. I'm not a cat lover, but I don't mind stroking one now and then. You have certainly achieved fame with your All Time Best accolade. Eric

That kitten is just so darned cute. I love the irreverence in this poem. I also really love the pacing and the trueness of the voice. I really hear this cheeky little kitten! you use this rhyming form well, great rhythm, thank you for sharing your work xxx

OMG! If I had stumbled across their pic I would have had to find a reason to use it too! But I can't imagine writing anything near as cute!!

For sure, what an adorable picture. That kitty does look like it's praying. Great touch with that purring Amen. I thoroughly enjoyed it, with a smile on my face with each line. Very clever thoughts for a cat's prayer. Great job!
