I enjoyed reading all this information about Hank Williams. My Mother and Father were a big fan of his. I grew up listening to Hank Jr. It sounds like Hank Sr had a very interesting life. Thank you for sharing, Shirley

I was eight and the taciturn folks around home talked about Hank's death. Before that I remember hearing him (live, I guess) on the Opry radio show. Excellent short biography of a talented man.

This was a very interesting article. I guess the legend of his drug and alcohol use shadows his true accomplishments, at least to the average person. I definitely don't see the younger generation of singers ever being able to hold a candle to this. A well written informative article, and thanks for sharing.

Hank Williams packed a whole lot of living in such a short life, and he did this suffering from spina bifida occulta. A bio is meant to inform and you did just that. You wrote in a straightforward manner, listing his achievements and not forgetting the alcohol and drug use so that we have the complete history.

Just a few points:
Did you mean to capitalize the words 'Cover' and 'Hit' in 'Tony Bennett released a
Cover on September 23, 1952, a Hit that...'?

In 'He Williams...' a word is missing there.

In 'Hank Williams last Single..' did you mean to capitalize the word 'Single'?

In ' in his life time' it should be 'lifetime'.

'Hank Williams last single ' should be 'Hank Williams' last single...'

Good job on the Hillbilly Shakespeare's life.

Great stuff. I grew up listening to a lot of Hank Williams. I saw the movie of his life with my parents and it had a positive influence in that I never took up drinking. This is a good bio, thanks for writing and sharing.

He Williams, possibly missing word or punctuation? Very nicely done Brett. Your love of music abounds in your works. I learned a few things from this piece that I did not know, thank you.

Always justafan,

I had no idea he was that young when he died, imagine what more joy he could have brought. He had a lovely clear voice, so much better than today's performers-rather the epitome of country music. Very informative, well written commentary. Faye

Excellent story. Seen no mistakes. My favorite song from Hank Williams was
Your Cheatin' Heart.

Hank Williams last recording session produced "Your Cheatin' Heart, Take These Chains From MY Heart, and Kaw-Liga.

I enjoyed reading about Hank Williams. My mother was a great fan of his and I remember her singing "Your Cheating Heart," as she worked in the kitchen. I think his death was kind of suspicious, don't you? I hadn't realized. Good post, Brett.
