Hi Brett,
This is a really good lyric poem.
It flows very smoothly
and has a good story line.
The rhyme and rhythm are very good.
I think I would try contacting the musician's guild or Grand Ole Opry see if you couldn't get in touch with someone through them that writes music maybe Google song writers.
Write a bunch of letters to people like Ricky Scags Allen Munde Carl Jackson Ralph Standely Del Mc Curry I would think that these and others might be able to
connect you with the right person. I think they would be very approachable too.I think you have the ability to write this kind of thing maybe get a guitar and learn to play and write our own music to them.
I bet you could do it if you really want to bad enough. YOU have to make it happen.

This is a beautiful poem that the author has created with this piece of writing. This is sad and interesting from the author. These are wise words to many. There are indeed callous individuals like this and I have to admit that I was like this in my younger days, but I am a reformed character now and repenting of my sins. :-)

What a wonderful poem. It reads like a song, like a country song. It flows, and rhymes perfectly, and also holds a beat while being read. Impressive. Your choice or the title also fits great. Very well done. Thank you for sharing.

I would say beware on hooking to a guy with vices in gambling. A woman cannot change the unusual behavior of a man such as mentioned in this poem. I hate gamblers. They are the laziest people on earth. This poem warns every single woman to stay away from irresponsible man in wrong direction of his life. Thanks for sharing.

A warning inside a terrific poem. The rhymes are strong, the imagery is powerful, and every girl who is drawn to the bad boy stranger should post it on her mirror as a warning.
Excellent.

Hi Brett - a lyric poem written with good rhyming couplets with draw/fall, near rhyme. It flows well and easy to imagine it being sung. The words are good, don't sound at all contrived. The two lines at the beginning and again repeated at the end are effective and round off the song. Warm regards Dorothy

Loved the lilting rhythm of this poem which tells it all. A lonely woman is his specialty, and she is the one that gets caught in his web of deceit, hoping she's the one, but perhaps knowing in her heart it ain't gonna be so.
Well titled "The stranger", because he is a stranger in every town he visits, and as quickly as he come he leaves, and behind him are a string of lonely women.
Well done.
