Easter time is a very special occasion
when Christ rose from the dead
Chocolate eggs are every where to eat
Our faith is a special at Easter time

A little humor mixed with dark.
Image of Christian Easter and children Easter
Faith renders done
Never too late.
First stanza is very subjective. Haven't a clue
The last line brings the poet into the mix

No blood upon the cross
Count the fingers
See the loss
Love but game
Face in tears
Watch the move
What did you loose
What do you see in the hurch, no blood on the cross, how many fingers at the stations of, how many times did he fall, we sent him to death, what was lost, what was gained, our love lacking, so was his father. Rest of poem is a play off this verse

It's very deep the way you explain it. Problem is its subjectivity. And that's only if you have a need to share your poetry with others. You carry the key to the symbols in your own head and heart.
This is why I have to pass by parts of your poem after reading them many times and just figure it references is too personal for you to share.
Without your exegesis of your poem provided, I could have read it a thousand times and not cracked the meaning.
But, dang it, I'm gonna keep trying, my friend, because you have a unique voice.

Dear Walt - once more your poetry is such that it slows me down, to contemplate your words, the pace and expression of what is lost, found and lost again.
Reminded me of the many Easter egg hunts with the kids....and the underlying reason for those moments.
Well penned my friend.
Thanks for sharing,
Maureen

Hard to believe it's almost Easter again;
Well-penned poem on all we associate with the spring holiday;
The happiness of bunnies and candy--the poignant crucifixion--we all approach the holiday weekend in our religious/non-religious celebration.
