How many times do we hear if a neighbor killing his wife or she her husband or children and the neighbors would say they thought the family was very nice and a very stable family. Sad commentary on our society today. Patricia

You are right about the evil that may lurk unknown to others b/c of what they see on the outside. This is so current with the ISIS terror. You expressed your self well and left the reader with a sense of dread. Good job. I see no changes. The picture is very good.

The words are stark and make me feel lonely. After I read it two more times, it made me feel afraid.Is the person a murderer? Is he planning to commit evil? Does a psychopath lurk underneath? I like how well you captured the fear and defiance in just 5 sentences. Not an easy feat at all, I know. Good job.

That's kinda scary, and I think it's also pretty true. The image goes so well with your little poem. I've had neighbors like that when I was a child. The things you don't know about them can be scary....

Chilling and true message with this. It's no surprise to me because it is said in scripture: "And no wonder, for Satan himself keeps transforming himself into an angel of light." (2Cor 11:14) If he does it so do those who have his inclinations, like the terrorists that could be living next door.

Very good. Most of us want limited contact with neighbors because too much familiarity can be invasive. We show to others what we want them to see. We are multifaceted.

The self evaluation is haunting. What is suspenseful, and good, is the myriad of possibilities that can be there from sinister to hurt. I know nothing of this format and am good with that.

Chilling. I would have preferred you had taken it in the other direction -- that there was a lot more love to give and depth to appreciate than people knew. But I respect what you wanted to convey, and it was conveyed really well. good structure and good impact. this poem may well haunt me a while..... :)
