This work has reached the exceptional level

Hi, Shari.
Artists can be quirky and rules aren't an easy thing for them to follow. Sadly, Jeff didn't recognize the creme de la creme of a job he had. He sounds selfish and entitled, doing only what's best for him.

Bye
Rosalyne :)

Thanks for another sixer and for seeing what I spotted in Jeff. She's still with him and seems contented. That's the important thing.

Disney... I love Disney World.
My son went to Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida... that was near Orlando... They are a Multi-media arts school... he studied game art/animation... valedictorian... we were thrilled he was near Disney... unfortunately... 2500 miles away... (however, he then went to Japan!) what? LOL... so yeah... they go everywhere... all over. You can't tied them down. I now know what my mom must have felt when I packed up and moved to Alaska with my husband. lol

Jeff sounds like a piece of work, but then... hey, what kind of story would it be if he weren't, right?

I'm enjoying the ride!
You write in such a wonderfully witty, sarcastic way... I feel like you're part of my family! lol (that's a compliment, by the way)

Here we go!

Wow! I don't blame you for being proud of your son. Talent must run in the family. I know Disney World is everywhere. Is he still in Japan? It's one place I've always wanted to visit, but hubby was never interested. Been to Alaska though. Beautiful, but too cold for me. Jeff is a piece of work. If Nichole had fallen in love with the doctor's son who was crazy about her back in ninth grade, she'd be living in the Middle East now where he teaches English! I'm delighted to be part of your family. What's for dinner tonight?LOL

Oh you wouldn't even believe what's for dinner tonight! Landon is home now... He went to Japan for a six month contract and came back and signed another contract with the SAME Japanese company that he was working for over in Japan... except he's working HERE in the US (making more money here) and he's going to get his Master's at UTD (University of Texas @ Dallas) while he works for them.
So he's here tonight with his girlfriend (who he met in Full Sail in Florida) and they're making Takoyaki (which is basically "fried" octopus with shaved bonito flakes (fish which moves) I said "fried" because it's gluten free because I'm a Celiac. LOL...
    Yeah... I wasn't impressed.
I'm pretty sure it's because it's gluten free. LOL
Anyway, you're welcome to come over and eat the rest because nobody wanted any. LOL
    Anyway... yeah... carry on! LOL

You'll find out in my next chapter that I don't like oriental food. Too mushy for me and I can't stand the smell of fish except for tuna and salmon. Just give me a salad, cheese, hot rolls and a glass of red wine.

It was nice to have your daughter back for a while. It does sound like her boyfriend is still jerk though. Funny how love overlooks those sorts of things. You certainly have an interesting life.

Thanks, Debi. If you dig into people's closets, you'll find a lot of interesting tidbits that are kept hidden.

Well, all seems well on the surface but something is seething below. Something is gonna happen I can feel it. Nice that you and your daughter had some time patch things up and get back into old habits. So, what was your opinion of Jeff's acting ability? Obviously, he has/had a bit to learn about when not open your mouth and with whom. More to come?

Taking a break to enter a couple of contests. He was very good in the exaggerated skits. I'd have to see him in a more realistic role to judge his ability.

Your family situations are a real puzzle. I am not sure I could handle the uncertainty. maybe when you are old thing will change for you and the daughter will realize she has only one mother. Patricia

I am amazed that Jeff was hired by Disney as an actor and then he screws it up. Sometimes young people do not see the benefit of not burning bridges. Excellent narrative that holds the reader's interest. I was surprised to read that your daughter returned to California with her boyfriend.

What can I say? She didn't see any future in Florida.

Dear Shari - damn, it sounded so hopeful for a while. But Jeff's ways tripped him up again. Great job in this one - the ending made me sad as I am sure it did you too.
Thanks for sharing,
Maureen

That was the question I wanted to hear. " Next weekend?"// Remove space after first quotation mark.

Wow ..this is hard to review because it is real...
You show remarkable restraint..well you have to. I told Rebecca that her husband to be was passive aggressive and I don't think she forgave me for it
God bless

I learned the hard way to keep my mouth shut about Jeff. I guess it's like criticizing the daughter too.

Well, dang it, I was thinking, yea for Shari as I read how your daughter was moving to Florida and she was excited about you coming to visit her. I laughed when she compared Florida to California. I suspect California is a lot more expensive place to live though. I was even thinking, like you, that Jeff might be okie dokie after all. But no, his true character came shining through and his bosses saw right through it. I know were in a quandary - wanting to say something to Nicole but not wanting to drive her away. Tough spot for a parent to be in.

It's part of life to make mistakes. Worse, to learn to live with them. Thanks for the feedback on what came through. I wanted to give Jeff a break. Even the villain has one good quality. LOL
