Ah-ha, smart girl. Luke is such a dummy. Can't wait to see what she's got up her sleeve. She'll also have to tell t=Theo eventually or invent a past because as a married couple, he'll want to know where she came from.

True. We'll deal with that near the end. Thanks so much for following the story, Carolyn. :)

Hi Phyllis,
A touching chapter. Loved the vulnerable side of our firebrand!
So good to be back. Was away for four weeks visiting my parents in Sri Lanka. Feels like ages.
Hope all's well with Amanda and her wonderful tutor.
Love,
Sonali

Thank you so much, Sonali. Welcome back. I hope you had a wonderful visit. Must be hard being so far away.

It was a stressful time - mum's memory is failing and there were legal issues I had to deal with on her behalf. The worst is adjusting to the time difference. It takes me two weeks each way. Missed FS so much.

Sorry to hear that. Why don't you bring her here to live with you? Or is there enough family around to help her?
-
They got their Canadian immigration years ago, but Dad wouldn't budge and it's expired. They live a very privileged lifestyle. They can afford all the help, but it's not the same No family left in the country. A large circle of friends, but all aging, many demised. My sister is in the US.

What is it with men and their stubborn resistance to moving? I've known several older couples where the wife wanted to be closer to their children and grandchildren, but he said NO WAY. At least they have a good lifestyle and staff to cook and clean. Maybe as his friends die, he'll change his mind. I think your mom would be happy to be near you and her grandchildren, but women are more family oriented, I guess.
Where do they live again? I've forgotten.

I am happy for Blaze and for Theo. They are good together. I can't wait to see what she has cooked up in that pretty little head for Luke. I am sure Tarah will support her.

Thank you so much, Barbara. I agree that they're a great couple. If only she weren't a condemned demon. :)

Hahaha! I was waiting for that reassurance in your notes!! Phyllis!! What are you going to do? Blaze is getting mixed up in some risky business. Help her Phyllis!!!!!!! This got me all misty like a little sissy boy. Your descriptions of love are on the money and you've depicted them perfectly. I'm lucky enough to know. This is going to be great fun watching her outsmart Luke. She'd better, hot water is an understatement in this case. I still have a six too. mikey

Thanks a million for using your Saturday six on this chapter, Mikey. I'm not surprised it got to you. I know you're an emotional guy who understands love. Young kids today jump into marriage or just into bed thinking that lust is love. I think it takes a bit of living to really understand love, and finally to appreciate its value. I think Theo does love Blaze, but she is smart enough to know what she doesn't know, and she doesn't know love for sure. She will, tho, thanks to her baby. :)

I can't wait for Luke's reaction! This is a twist I wasn't expecting. Of course I expected them to get together in the end. Luke's gonna want to kill them both!

Thanks, CIndy. Actually, not only will he approve, but he's going pretend it was HIS idea they get married. The next two chapters are posted. :)

Thank you so much for reading, Jack. You may enjoy the next two chapters, for she's going down in the Hellevator to see Lucifer to trick him into allowing her to marry Theo. In past books and chapters, Luke has a habit of always wanting to take credit for idess they bring to him, and Blaze is counting on that pride and arrogance, thinking he'll do the same thing again. She'd better be right.
Scenes with Lucifer (Luke) are the humorous ones, for comic relief from all the drama. He's such a bumbling buffoon! LOL!

Shops my comment about that chapter is what you said. I didn't read your reply till after I read it. Also realized I missed reviewing a chap so I will do it now

I had a feeling he would offer to marry her and take care of the baby.
This is a beautiful scene. I'm glad she accepted.

THanks, Nancy. Good guessing. Many readers were surprised, but knowing Theo and how desperate he was to be with her, it's inevitable he would 'save the day' by proposing. :)
Comment from judiverse
Theo's proposal comes out of the blue, but he is sincere. He knows she's pregnant and is willing to accept the child. They can tell the world he's the father. I think it's appropriate that Blaze's reaction is to throw up. She had never considered marriage to Theo as an option. He really seems to have fallen for her, though. Blaze wonders what she's done to deserve such a gift. Of course, Luke will have to be dealt with, but Blaze knows how to handle him. Very interesting! judi

Thanks, Judi. Yes, Blaze can handle him because he always reacts the same way... takes her idea (as he used to with Ginger) and pretends it was HIS idea all along. :)
-
Hi Phyllis. You're welcome. I remember Luke was good at taking the ideas of others and claiming them as his own. judi

excellent dialogue as Blaze tries to discount Theo's observations about their mutual attraction
great character development as Theo shows himself to be a truly caring man, more than willing to accept and love her child as his
great discussion of God's gift to her and how He doesn't make mistakes as Blaze wonders why in the world God would give her, of all creatures, anything

Thank you so much, Brooke. Either an angel made a mistake in paperwork somewhere, sending the baby to the wrong body, or God gave it to Blaze to help her to remember the love she once felt. We still don't have her backstory, why she was on Luke's side, or if she was. That's just waht the otehr demons told her. Franny, of course, investigates such things and will be back. :)

I love you, Blaze. No matter what you've done or where you came from. I love who you are." - that will truly be tested out for sure!
But is she capable of love yet in return?

Thanks again, Maria. She is capable, just doesn't know what love is. The baby will show her. THen it will be easy to transfer love to Theo, and we hope, to God. But she's going to need help... and protection from Luke. God won't let His child be harmed, and surely He approves of Theo as a guardian, but Blaze is a question mark. More of this will come out in a heated discussion with Tara, who is going to be more shocked at the marriage than Luke is. :)
