I love the story. You were a skeptic trying to debunk ghost sightings. You found truth they were real. Can you convince others? Those that believe in ghosts do not need convincing. Those that do not believe can not be convinced. Great work.

Wow! I enjoyed this review and thank you for the compliments. I have actually gotten what I could call evidence, but found it best to present my findings in the form of a deposition. My problem is I found out that there is a gray area between evidence and debunking and it is best to at least consider what is available. I feel too many people are eager to be like the shows and conclude things too quickly and not explore the facets that require further explanation or time to explore.

I have friends that do ghosts investigations for a hobby and have a team of around 12 how help. I have seen and heard things that would knock your socks of. They even investigated our old community theatre several years ago. If you don't believe in ghosts just sit in on one of their reveals. good story. Plenty of ghosts to go around.

Hi unknown author. Your story meets the criteria for the contest and was told well. I'm not familiar with any aspect of ghost detection but you gave your story a ring of authenticity, alf

It is a real story and some other incredible things have occurred that I didn't write about. Something I never expected. I did put out a video on you tube titled, "Watching you too?" I thank you for your compliments and this review. M

This was interesting, and also a common thing now a days, there are several shows and every time they manage to get something on that metal detector or on film good luck.

Some shows are better then others and for me the best gauge is the honesty that they present things with. I have given feedback to a couple, because they didn't understand what they experienced and enough came through the show for me to postulate what had occurred.

I thank you very much for the compliments and this review. M.

This is a good story. At first I thought it was a time machine, but as I carried on reading I found out it was brain waves and dreaming. This is a good original story. Good luck in the contest and thank you for sharing.

I thank you very much for the compliments and this review. Time definitely has something to do with it and I had to be fairly sensitive about making good use, yet limiting the length of the story. I had mentioned The Burning Tree for the first investigation, but felt it best to dropped what had happened in reference to the second investigation.

During the second, we missed it because the tree had fallen down, and while I might question the story about the slave women being set on fire, the damage to the tree was it was severely burned while the trees around it were completely devoid of any burn damage. The return trip to the brides suddenly had a woman screaming being heard. You might have said it came on like a bird call, but got louder and was more like Nick Berg getting beheaded. I was too tired to record and by that time, just wanted my mommy. What caught my attention was the screaming died out in volume but not intensity. Also with the way the trail was, if you heard screaming from the tree, you would not hear it down the road, but from the stream as we heard it. I got numerous recordings of hikers walking up and down that area and it recorded with my recorder at the stream, not on the other side of the bridge until they were much closer.

I thank you very much for the compliments and this review. M

Chilling and held my attention all the way through. I will take your word for it since I don't think I will be doing any investigating myself -- probably because I don't know if I want to become a believer. Just a few minor things jumped out at me that will probably become obvious to you if you do a re-read. In the sixth paragraph where you discuss Poe's desk in both lines 1 & 2 you use "on" and I think it should be "one". Fourth paragraph from the end you say investigator which I think would read better as investigation -- or "meeting" which is what the ghost that I am trying NOT to believe in corrected you on. Hey, maybe you should read this to her and see how she is at reviewing! Don't want to nitpick, but I see the passion with which you write -- you use EVT and MEL. I read twice and not sure I know what those are. Don't know if Author Notes are allowed, if so I would suggest telling your reader the meanings. If Author Notes are not allowed, maybe working it into your writing for those who have problems concentrating like me. Again I found this all very interesting and I wish you the best in the competition -- and in future investigations!

I am good at writing, but found many people are not that good at reviewing their own works and proof reading is a skill in itself. I actually appreciate nit picking and made the changes. There are no rules about what to put in the notes, but felt in the past they hurt me. I did add them and used them to define the terms.

I really appreciate this review and thank you for the corrections and compliments. M
