Hi Barbara:)
I,ve fallen behind with my review as a result of bronchitis, but I am trying to catch up with ongoing books. This chapter is most entertaining as Soni and Jim banter about who move closer to the fireplace overnight. Sounds like the start of setting romantic boundaries Nobody I know would choose the body warmth of a wet dog over a warm human. In this case decorum requires hands off.
In this short post your reader begins to understand the that of the desert wilderness where refugees often die from starvation and death as Jim and Soniagee about at least one thing.
Love and Irish Hugs the plot moves foreward.

Dang you always give just a little to get the appetite whetted and then I have to wait for the next post to see the action. I know this is a romance but it has the makings of an action adventure also. Keep up the good work.

I don't usually review books, but this one looks interesting. And, wise Fanstorian that you are, you are keeping the chapters short and the story moving along...

I am one of those who jumped in the middle on this one but I love it already. You have a way of creating characters that are not too complex but yet have enough depth to help the reader align themselves with the good but understand the bad. I also enjoy the romance that you (eventually) create while you give us a great story line. I will be following this one to the end. Good luck! Kindly, Judy

A nice easy read. In such a short supply of words you put in a lot of detail, information, and a little history of the story and this couple. Nice job.

Liked the sleeping arrangements, and the confused waking up. Soni is more attracted than she will admit to herself, very typical of a strong-willed woman who is used to making it on her own.
Everything they have to go through together will bring them closer until one of them declares their affection.
Good chapter.

I haven't read all chapters but I enjoyed this one very much.
I feel sorry for the immigrants that come across the dessert to find a better life. I get angry at their government for not doing more for their people.
This made me smile..."Midnight doesn't like taking orders, specially from a dog". I also learned to love Goliath and Butkus.
Excellent writing my friend.

Soni accuses Jim of snuggling up, and he blames her. Later, they are riding along when they hear a noise. Jim draws his gun, in preparation for danger. Will they be seen? I'll have to read more to find out. A well written chapter, Barabara.

Dear Barbara - animals do have personalities that is for sure. I can really feel the plight of these refuges, their struggles and hardships you pen well.
Overall a solid read and great addition to your story.
