I did enjoy this Ingrid. I know that is exact ally what the cat is feeling and thinking having had my own cats for many years. They allow us to take care of them and if times get rough they will leave. LOL well done. Good luck this was fun. Nancy

Not mine--never would they leave, except at the end when they find a place to die alone. Hope yours fared better.

Once our cat had kittens. Six. Five were boys. They all found new homes all by themselves or died trying. They disappeared.

You relay the attitude of your cat so effectively that I feel like I'd be able to step into your house, sit a spell, and have a nice little chat with Katy (oh, excuse me: Katherine). Of course, my conversation skills would probably bore her a bit. This piece is humorous and insightful. The reader learns a great deal about the behavior and preferences of the feline--and even more about her owner!

We definitely chat. She rarely appreciates the company of anyone else, usually hiding, but you might prove to be the exception if you call her Katherine.

Awesome tale from your Katherine. We can always count on our pets, especially cats, to tell it like it is. Her details and descriptions of both you and Tony provided strong imagery for the readers. Thanks so much for sharing and give a pat on the head to Miss Katherine and Tony, too. 8-)

Scratching my leg as we speak. Boredom or chopped liver? Thanks for all the stars.

Favorite part ...imagining what second hand licks taste like...if second smoke is bad..ha ha I grinned...I'm not saying I laughed my face off ...who does that ?
You capture the arrogance of cats ..their hauteur and yellow eyed stares have always made me wonder what they are thinking...now I know
God bless

This was dictated, therefore, you heard it right from the cat's mouth. She thanks you.

I love this tale, as told through the eyes of a cat! Cats are absolutely fascinating creatures, and we've had several cats over the years, at one stage we had six cats, Soxy, Pinky, Snap, Crackle, Pop and Precious, who wasn't very bright. It was usually a female cat was the matriarch or queen, and a dog called Suzy. I found this to be engaging, the language used is classically how you view a cats language would be, they allow you to live and serve them, well translated, I enjoyed this well written excerpt, well done, blessings, Roy.

I'm not a cat lover by any stretch of the imagination, but you hooked me to continuing ready the story when I got to HRH. You, see, that's what my family calls me because I have regal tastes and they think I treat them like peasants. HRH (Katy) and I have so much in common, including our name. I consider all of my siblings to be idiots too. As I completed reading this wonderful comparison of a cat to me... a human, I swear it is my biography. Thanks for giving me the weirdest experience of my life, but it was also a hoot to read. Thanks for sharing your talents and tickling my funny bone...

"Do you have any idea how disgusting second-hand lick tastes?" ... good one.

I am a bit reminded by Mark Twain's "Letters From the Earth," in which he describes humanity as seen through the eyes of Satan before his fall. Fun!
