This is a well penned entry for this Poetry and Prose finally together competition, I love how you have blended the two together, it really works for me, great idea to place the argument twixt chandelier and light fitting, good luck in the contest my friend.

'The great bag of darkness'. What a super way to describe the vacuum. This is an excellent piece of writing. Your prose is poetic in itself, filled with imagery and alliteration. You even managed to weave conflict between the couple into this short piece. Well done.
