This would make a great children's story. They would learn about the penguin and appreciate how the couple works together building their nest and then feeding each other and the chicks when they hatch.
The dialogue was so natural. It was like watching a Disney movie.

Hi Carolyn? It's been a log time since you posted anything
and I've forgotten your name. Sorry, sometimes I forgot my own name.

Anyway it's unexplanable animal intuition like what you have writtn about, that has the no-God scientists scratching their heads.

Y'all take care; greet Red 4 me

This is a sweet little story about the penguins. I have been reading about them too. They really do share being parents, I think it is really lovely. This is well written and I am sure children will love it. :) Sandra

Thanks Sandra, I've been off site for a while but the stories are starting to pop into my head again... There will probably be a sequel, that chick has to hatch sometime. :-) Carolyn

Carolyn, This is a darling children's story. Actions are based on facts from your study. Sincere appreciation for God's creation is certainly exhibited. The way in which mom is insistent about the rocks mimics human moms getting suitcase ready and closets cleaned out. It's just something moms do.

Very well done, Carolyn. I see no spag here.

God Bless and keep these kind coming. Wholesome stories of other animals would be interesting, especially if you personify them like this one.

This was a very cute story and I loved the ending. It is amazing how animal life and human life are alike. And it was also cute that you pointed out how fussy women are about their home and how we give great directions to our spouses. God is good to HIS creations animals and humans alike.
Thank you for sharing a fun and informing story.

Hi Carolyn,

Sorry I don't have any sixes left as I've used them already. I wish I did because you did a wonderful job of writing this short story. In the sixth paragraph first line you need to put an s after nest "checking out all the other nests". Otherwise your story is wonderful and a joy to read. What a great idea to study something, then to write about it. I wouldn't have thought of doing that in a million years. Now just if I remember to find something of interest to study, because I've been wanting to start writing stories again.

Carolyn...
That is one cute story. It can easily be a children's story, readily available for them to enjoy some facts about penguins, or it can be a "moral to the story", story or simply a nicely written one.
I thought you did a great job here with this one. John

    Hi there,
I'm still watching for a story or poem from you. Nature offers so much subject matter. Look around you,

palm trees or pineapples, bananas and sand....
A poem can be written by the flick of the hand.....
Let your thoughts flow to paper ..
    whatever the form..
In no time at all a poem can be born...
