Hey, Dean,
No one ever said it was going to be easy...being a writer, that is.
However, it does make for a good out let, and I see you have used it as such, in this poem:)

From time to time, we all take on this theme, which just shows you how much we all thing about the dang thing. I know I write at least one poem a year considering the pains of inspiration and the struggle with critique.

...and, yes, this is a silly delivery, although the rhyme and meter, ain't bad:), but I read it at my own risk...you gave fair warning! Lol.

Hope all is well, buddy,
Bill

Thanks for reading this whacky, tongue-in-cheekiness, Bill. I truly appreciate it.
And all is just fine on this end.
    How about yours?
    Best wishes, my friend.

Things are going fine out here in sunny Cal; fall colors starting to come out everywhere and unseasonably warm; about ten degrees above average.
The weather folk say the last time we had this sort of fall pattern, (1997), we were hammered with a rainy season.
We could certainly use the rain out here, but in inches at a time...not feet!
The '97 flood broke levies and flooded a good deal of Sacramento.
In our area the road was washed out on both sides of town and the main bridge was threatened. It took the road crews most of the next summer to repair the damage, but damn, the gold mining was great for the next few years, lol!

We always keep provisions in our home to last for months...you know, just in case.

Anyway, I hope we ALL have a safe winter, my friend.

A very creative piece with an inventive name for all meals rolled into one. I smiled at the playful animations and enjoyed the poetic verse that pointed to the vagaries of being a writer. Lighter that you usual faire, but still with your cunning wit, and poetic imagery adorned with visual appeal.

Much, MUCH lighter than my usual fare, Tom, lol. No question. But, even I have to crawl out from my crumbling crypt every now and again. It's really beginning to reek in there, heh-heh.
Thanks for the read & review. I'm glad you enjoyed this one.

Lol very clever and well written, I sometimes..actually a lot of the time, inspiration comes to me when I'm in the shower or on the toilet!... paper but no pen lol. And I have to write it down or otherwise I forget!! And it's gone forever... I sympathize.

You just gotta train yourself to remember those random thoughts, shanat. A pad of paper won't work too well in the shower, lol. Don't think I haven't tried.
Thanks very much for the read & review.

What a fine idea - Breakfalupper. I often just do Breakfupper. I often 'skip' lunch to do other things. Not a good idea, I know.
I like how to tie in the time that we authors put in directly to the past-time of writing without taking a break.
And then what do we get for our efforts? The bitter taste of reviews - but not always, sometimes those reviews are like ambrosia on the tongue.
Great writing, Dean - and wonderful presentation.
Rose.

Well, I always look forward to your reviews, Rose. You are always so encouraging and supportive, regardless of the subject matter I happen to be dealing with. Your reviews are always objective, and you aren't afraid to offer suggestions for improvements if you feel it is warranted. I also appreciate that very much as well.
Thank for reading this whacky thing. I'd written it for a Write a Silly Nonsense poetry prompt but didn't have enough funny money to enter in time.
Thanks so much again, Rose. As always, I sincerely appreciate it.
    Respectfully

Yes, writing sets us "free". But I can't go without breakfast and lunch, nor can I stomach "defeat," and I'm pretty good at dodging "critics' harshest blows". Thanks for sharing your "breakfalupper" recipe with rhymes and animations. Smiles- Joan

Oh, I can't stop to eat when I'm on a roll, Joan. I'll forget everything I wanted to write. I do write down phrases and thoughts at times, and that sometimes helps. But there are times when I get so involved in writing, I forget to do even that!
Thanks much for reading and reviewing this whacky poem. I really appreciate it.

Neat idea. Wish I had thought of that first! Sounds like a twice around the kitchen omelette to me :) I was fascinated with the two fry pans you have there flipping and pouring eggs or batter into the other. Now you've made me hungry and I can't eat anything for quite a while after dental torture.

Oops! Sorry about that, Joy. I'll be sure to eat some breakfalupper for ya, if it'll make you feel any better. You know, until you can eat some of your own, that is. LOL.

I wrote this originally for a Nonsense Poem poetry prompt but forgot to enter it. Heck, it was written some time ago and has been languishing in my portfolio, on page 8, for quite awhile...all but neglected and forgotten.

Oh well. I went ahead and posted it anyhow.

I'm really glad you could relate to this, Joy. I think most of us who write often do pretty much the same thing.

    Always with respect.

I don't know how you get these moving videos. Just lovely. I like the eating crow. I wish I could make you beans, fried tomato and eggs on toast for breakfast.
[that's if I wake up that is - might be dead] hahahah I'm mad.
Lovely wording and a great idea. Have fun!!

The moving doll.

As for waking up, welll...I'd see to that.

Excellent nonsense poem. I feel sorry for those eggs. They look sad---no wonder as breakfalupper is coming up. I liked these lines the best as they are so true:
"Don't e're write if you don't love it,
do not place all else above it.
Don't all who pose as writers see
how much their writing sets them free?"
Well done, Dean.

Thank you, Rod. Those happen to be a few of my favorite lines in the poem as well.

A firm believer that we all need a little silly and nonsense to brighten up our days, to take off the edge, help us relax, and help us refrain from taking things so seriously. Thanks for another enjoyable poem. :-)
