I had to come checking. One of the clients at the other house died and everyone fell apart. I had to go over and help. So strange, I'm supposed to be working for them. :) So, I'm further behind. But, that doesn't take away from this great chapter. Blaze continues to show these tendencies to want things to be just in certain cases. Well, treading water. Great work, mikey. Reading your great reviews. Will try and answer somehow!

HOw sad. I guess people die every day, but it's always sad, and often a shock. Thanks for taking the time to read. :)

Phyllis, this is an interesting chapter in that Blaze did come clean with Lorna and had some measure of compassion for her. Solid dialogue. :0 GracieAnn

Thank you so much for reading. :)

Great work with this one. Yes, Blaze did a great job solving all three problems, and now she gets a night on the town with Lorna...pretty smart for a demon. I think there's hope for her yet.

Hi Phyllis, I'm catching up with your story now and getting to know your characters. Well, Lorna and Blaze did have an arrangement, but even so, Lorna must harbour just a few jealous twinges about the sex between hubby Seb and her friend Blaze. Sounds like your Blaze always has an agenda.....

Thank you so much, Annette. I'm so happy you like the story. Yes, Blaze is lying, but her only agenda at this point is to keep the truth from Lorna and to eliminate the pain she caused.

Well as you say - she does not understand sympathy but she realizes justice has not been served to Lorna for Sebastian ending things with her.
looking forward to girls night

A happy ending to a pretty bad experience. Blaze could maybe find a good guy for Lorna since she took away Sebastien. i can see trouble brewing if Lorna finds out that Blaze was responsible or Sebastien's disappearance

Thank you, Erica. I won't let Lorna find out, and there really is no way she could unless BLaze told her. Blaze is the ONLY one who knows where Blake really is, and she's not about to tell. :)

excellent expression of intense emotions in the dialogue
scrunching up her face - good use of non-verbal communication
Again, Blaze is a master of deception, but for such a good reason here - she is doing things for a good reason quite often lately :-) brooke

Thank you, Brooke. Glad you liked it. Blaze is driven by justice. Hell itself is justice, for that matter. She has no compassion...yet. Something will happen that changes all that. :)

I know I always say this, but I'll continue to tell you, Phyllis, that you do a great job with your use of dialogue. I also like how you interject Blazes's thoughts in italics. I wondered if perhaps Lorna shouldn't have been more angry with Blaze, but then I haven't kept up on all of this as much as I should. Besides Blaze indicates that she thought the two of them (she and Lorna) had planned this.
As always, great job!

Thank you, Connie. I'm glad you like the dialogue since it's my favorite thing to write. You are correct that Lorna wanted Seb to have sex with Blaze, so she would not be angry with her, only with HIM. And that was BLaze's intent. :)

Most authors would have taken this scene to the usual two women fighting over one no good man. Instead, you used Blaze's gifted powers of speak & Lorna's common sense to turn it around into something positive. Great job.

Thank you, Muffins. They are both very rational women. Blaze may change later, but right now, she feels no guilt as long as she could convince Lorna that she's better off without the guy. :)

Blaze is on a roll. I am smiling at all she accomplished. It's a wonder. I am now curious what else she has up her sleeve or comes her way. It should be good.

Thanks so much, Barbara. Blaze will have a shock that will change her attitude drastically. BUt first she has to become closer to Tara, in doing her job for Luke but more so for herself. And after that, something will happen. Something huge. That's all I can say. :)
