Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

I'm guessing that a lot of thought and effort go into these little pieces that you churn out so frequently - I hope other folks appreciate that. this combines a classic ode feel (addressing the inanimate object) with free verse ( and yet there is an unmistakable rhythm to the verse) with a multi-layered,universal message - your stuff always makes me think. this one makes me think about my own grandiose aspirations, and how they inevitably clash with a realistic appraisal of my finite abilities, and how my self-image (which may or may not be realistic) affects that interaction.

I may be reading too much into this, but I think one of the great things about brevity is that it allows the reader to fill in the unwritten. You do that so well.

Thanks

Excellent
Not yet exceptional. When the exceptional rating is reached this is highlighted

Fear of failure has foiled many attempts at success. Your poem brings out the many excuses we bring into play to justify our failure to attempt success. Nice work and presentation.
