I believe it. I hate untangling a skein of yarn. It drives me crazy, but I do not want to cut it like Gordion's Knot. This is a brief but well told piece of flash NON-fiction. Thank you for sharing!

College basketball, your wife, a bottle of wine, and untangling a ball of yarn - I call that making memories and I bet you or your booty will not forget it for a long time. I can honestly say that most men I know would not do that for their wives - so kudos to you for "showing" your love for her. 8-)

Ah, now this is a subject I can identify with. My husband is often pressed into duty with tangled yarn. True love knows no boundaries, does it? LOL

Has it started snowing in your neck of the woods yet?

I think the "blizzard" and the 2ft snow predictions is about to fizzle out. Looks more like a six inch snow. That's good though. This 60 yr old body didn't really want to shovel 2ft of snow and ten FT drifts.

Oh, btw, thanks for reading this short little post. John

I assume you meant that you'd be finishing the yarn project tomorrow, not the half bottle of wine which would go well with the rest of the basketball game. Damn, that was a long time sitting on the floor! Sore bum?

Ellen, how you be? Thanks for reading. No wine or yarn tonight. We're contending with a possible 12-36 inches snow blitzing blizzard. John

That is the best way to express love. Some persons say very loving things but their actions do not reflect what they say.
Show me you love me is what this poems says. and the spouses in fact show each other their love

I like this short piece because you don't define what love is, instead you show what it is. Showing love is real and there is no better way to do it then by spending time with the one we love.

Untangling a skein of yarn is the new jigsaw puzzle which is only a picture of a blue sky. I would consider that a College hoop for sure. Lots of meaning in your write. We could likely write an essay on it, so well done, John.

You're gonna need more wine though, beyond the half-bottle still remaining, because you've only partially untangled the wool.

Well, well, well! that must be love!
I cannot really find any wrongs, but where do you want to go with this, if anywhere? I liked it though. Made me smile.

I never usually follow-up with a second posting. It's like a second movie, Rocky 2, no good.

Thanks for a great review . Always appreciated. John

All you would need to do is add a haiku and you'd have a perfect haibun.

Time flies when you're having fun or totally into the preoccupation. No one is here to check, but five hours later, I'm still attached to my laptop.

It's not to short for a haibun if I were to add a haiku (not on this post)?
    Thank you for reading. John

You should try the style--it's fun and would fit into this post well. What I like about it is the relative shortness of prose, can be very low, but check it out on Google. It's usually around 100-200 words and can be filled with staccato style, fragmented sentences, completed with a haiku.

I thought of it immediately when I read your post.
