LOL Kay! A thong is one of those bits of string women call knickers!! Dammed uncomfortable, if you ask me! A joyous, happy poem, Kay, brightens up anyone's day. Are you partying tonight? Have a drink for me, 'diet coke!' Happy Australia Day, my friend! xsx Sandra

At least I know what a banger is, we call them that, too. Nice to learn the Australian colloquialisms-happy Australia Day. Well chosen words, good touch of humour, fun poem. Faye

A good approach to instruct us of Australian vernacular of moderate sorts. Some of them I was familiar crutch but there were those few.,,8
Good read, nicely arranged and composed.

Well done Kay, I don't think anyone will understand! But you did your best about the explanation about Australia Day though, having been to other countries, they think we're likeable and quaint, they like us because we are really nobody's enemy, and everybody's friend, but well done, we had some damper, salad and shepherds pie, well done, blessings, Roy.

Happy Australia Day, Kay! Loved that Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Oi! Oi! Oi! when we first heard it at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. I recognize some of the other Aussie lingo too, though not all. Don't think I'd care for the cockroach races though! Beautiful presentation and poem.

Hugs,
Lois
