For poetry, I think this captures firures of speech, casts a spell of emotiion and lpaints a picture.
However, I think it would do better by presenting some redeeming lesson--good or bad.

This poem has a seemingly carefree approach, yet gives a vivid picture of a well-lit night, in which we see something a bit unexpected and even dangerous. I find it interesting, though, that the bear has reasons to be content. I guess the diners at the restaurant created tasty leftovers.
