Oh like the fun and humor infused in this poem. I love it and I could read it again and again. The message rings true, sometimes writer's block just loves to take a vacation, and when it does, we better talk about the said leave of absence. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Hi,
A very original piece in this entry.
Liked very much how you started
emphasising what the contest was all about.
Then the picture went very well
with the imagery described in the poem.
Also liked how you approached the subject
of when our muse fails.
Nicely written, creative.

I loved the humor in this. Too often that muse walks out when we need it the most, but apparently your muse became your inspiration. Very well written.

A brave attempt to make something of nothing! Sometimes the very act of not being able to find a suitable subject for a poem becomes that very subject for which you seek!

Hey, Roy,
Well, this is cute. Love the cartoon, trying to keep his muse from taking a hike.
I just noticed the contest is over. I'm sorry you didn't win. This was a really good entry. You just have to keep plugging way.
Cheers & Blessings

Take three bourbons and the hangover should take care of your morning hang over. Some times poetry can be the poet's greatest enemy.

Hi Roy - a good entry for the two stanza contest. Well written in abcb rhyme and 7/6/7/6 syllable count apart from your penultimate line but it does not stop the good flow of the poem.In fact I think it enhances it. A good read. Warm regards and Good Luck in the contest. Warm regards Dorothy xx
