It sounds exhausting, fun but exhausting. I went over and seen my nephews the one day and when I was there I sat and played the tablet with my oldest nephew and as the little one was running around creating havoc. I was just trying to keep the two of us outta the way as my brother in law ran around chasing and cleaning up after the little one. I won't lie it was kind of funny to see and I'm was ever so grateful I didn't have to clean the messes up. Great job and enjoy her while you can

I enjoyed reading more about Lexi. I like the line leap pad maneuverer. It is great that she cites Bible verses too. She sounds like a well-rounded kiddo!

Is this one of those rictameter poems? Great topic and great fun to read. It's wonderful to read these heartwarming poems where parents cherish their children, balancing all the horror stories we're subjected to on the news.

I always love reading about Lexi and this poem is no different. You describe a wonderful grandchild and I am sure she is. You're her grandmother, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Hi Rdfrdmom2,
You seems to have a very bright and active young lady in Alexis. Long may she continue to flourish. Nice poem, the diamond form suits the subject.

A child's life should be one of joy and play. They should not be bogged down with the negative context of life. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read.

Hi, Jan,
I'm assuming this is your granddaughter? What a lovely poem for and about her. This brought back memories when my child was young. A good read which took me down memory lane this morning.

Hi rdfrdmom. I confess the name caught my eye first. My mother's name was Alexa, commonly shortened to Lexie. Anyhow, to the poem. I found it a delight to read and gained a picture of a lively child who explores the world around her. Thanks for sharing, alf

alf, yes, today she "invented" a 'truck-o-meter' out of recycled
materials collected while her mom was cooking - she told me
it was important to make new things out of recycled things -
what a kid
