Wow, I was anle to get right back into the swing of the story.
These women are nearly destitute, hence the willingness to explore new frontiers in space.
May the Force be with them!
One gets the feeling that Karen was NEVER going to bring up selling the home with her kids.
She can't afford to be so naive about reality.

Denial's a comfortable place, but it seldom lets you make a permanent home there!

Welcome aboard, Sue! Yes, Karen is in denial about a lot of things in the beginning. She doesn't know the real reason for her husband leaving until much later in the book. In the meantime, she blames everything that's wrong in her life on him. Thank you (so!) much for reviewing these chapters, Sue. It means a lot to me. Alexis x

That was sneaky, it will be good if she can keep the mortgage payments up, then her ex will have to wait. I like it. Now we know Karen has decided. Great. :)

Hopefully she can but she doesn't have much time before the house goes on the market, so she's going to have to think of ways to put potential buyers off in the meantime. Thank you again for your review.

Another superb chapter my friend. I have gout and I know what happens when you don't do as you're told by the Dr. She seems defiant still, she loves her boys and I am sure she'll make a way. She's a tough olw gal

Interesting resolution to financial difficulties, I would think!

The dialogue flows well and feels authentic. A very well written piece.

Good luck with the rest of it.

Thank you so much for your encouraging review. Yes, it is an interesting resolution to the women's financial situation, but they believed it was the only answer due to their age. Alexis x

I enjoyed reading this, and I want to read more. She comes across as hard-headed or irresponsible for binge drinking when she has diabetes and cellulitis! But sometimes people are just like that.

She knew she'd feel rough for a couple of days because she couldn't punish her body like she did in her younger days, but it didn't matter.
Suggest:
She knew she'd feel rough for a couple of days because she couldn't punish her body like she did in her youth, but it didn't matter.
*This deletes duplicating the word 'days.'

Chapter 10 of the book Let's Talk Dirty! Karen returns home after her night out with Laura and Jenny "The book continues" Well the, if it isn't going to be smutty, then I can certainly say that I'm looking forward to this big job coming up. Well done.

Thanks for the pleasure of reading your chapter that gives us a realistic look at life on the divorced home front. Nothing is ever easy and somebody always wants an unfair advantage. Well, written with a little dollop of love on top of the conflict. Great job. :-)

You've got me rooting for Karen. Still, curious on how her business adventure will turn out, and how the kids will respond. A bit of maneuvering from Tony and Karen that kept my interest on high alert. Good dialogue. It's a wise choice in splitting the chapters. Not always easy to find the time, but this was well worth the read. Great job! Les

The funniest aspect of the book is the situations when the grown up children nearly find out. Can you imagine hiding such a sleazy occupation? I've really had to use my imagination on this one! Thank you again for your review. Alexis xx

Poignant and funny! The dialogue is natural, not forced, and moves the story forward. The topic is certainly current. Can't wait for the next part!

I can't thank you enough for the excellent review and shiny stars - both are really appreciated. Yes, this is a book about very current problems befalling women these days. Sometimes a girl just has to do, what a girl has to do!
