Great job, Dean, with this poem about going down the rabbit hole. Very engaging as always, especially with all the references to drug use in rock music. I have to admit I was so Naive when I was growing up. So I would sing all these songs and had no idea, until I was older and wiser, what they were really about. 8-)

My favorite story of all time!!! Love the images, the words - all very much deserving of a six (surprise, surprise.. LOL!)!!!!! ;)

PS- It's pretty unfortunate that I had to go elsewhere to actually read it as it was intended to be delivered, if I wanted to give an honest review anyhow. But... You know that already, huh? ;)

Beyond well done as always. ;) <3

Amazing poetic and graphic commentary on the culture you describe in your notes. Powerful and,to me, terrifying images of the experiences associated with drug-induced experiences. I was there...a part of this generation, but an observer, rather than a participant. I was actually involved in a college ministry that attempted to reach some of these who were 'down the rabbit hole'. It was a frightening thing to see some of them under the influence of psychedelic drugs. I wish the truths you reveal here could dispel the myths that still lure kids 'through the mirror' into places of tragic captivity. Great piece.

This has always been one of my favorite stories - there are so many interpretations of what the book meant. You have pulled the drug references out very well - showing how reality can alter when we play with things that affect our minds.

Simply amazing poem. I recognized all the songs in your poem. I was a small child in the late 60's so I know of all the artists you mention. Your poem is just full of alliterations (quite impressive) and flows so nicely. Descriptions are out of this world. So very deserving of six stars. Thank you for sharing.

What can I say that hasn't been said before. You have a gift and you use it well. I have a hard reviewing your work because I just feel you are so far ahead me. So with that said your poem and graphics were amazing as always.

Hi Dean, I must admit I felt as if I was tripping down a rabbit hole reading your poem and then reading your authors notes. So much music and so many songs during that era were drug related and quite a lot of the musicians, songwriters, did indulge in drug usage. I still remember watching Magic Roundabout...now that was a children's programme but had references to drugs. I think a lot of people jumped on the bandwagon at that time. I loved Puff the Magic dragon and when I heard it was drug related, there was no way I would believe it. I love dragons. This song in particular was so sad. That poor dragon died. I could add quite a few more to your list as I was so into 60s and 70s music. Really enjoyed reading. Genya

As usual my friend you brilliantly crafted piece has grasped my attention. I always love the choices you make when adding the artwork and animations. with that being said, the authors notes took me a stroll right back down memory lane. I was born in 64' and remember the latter parts as I was 4 and 5. Every decade brought new drugs, wars, obscenities etc. I loved them all.
God bless!
Steve

Superb. Alice is wonderland is by far my favorite story. What a creative twist. I think CS Lewis would have enjoyed. Well worth the six. Nice job dean

This was very well written. The topic is a time I lived through. The Beatles were the only one's that I really listened to, and then I began to see the downfall of these musicians. When you make big money, your head loses something important. A sense of humility, Godliness, ets. Most of these people found other gods to be their masters. But for the grace of God, there go I.
