I fully believe in the 'Pre-Trib' rapture for one basic reason...i don't wanna be here when all hell breaks loose, literally.
I read the entire 'Left Behind' series, and while interesting, and very compelling books, I don't think they truly captured the horror of the events of the end times.
Maybe one day I'll try my hand at describing what I read will happen.
I liked your poem. To me it showed the angst the Father had at sending Jesus to earth.
Your rhymes and rhythm were flawless as usual.
You had great tension in this poem, great foreboding as well, but ending with a message of hope.

G'day Dean. Crikey mate, you never cease to amaze me! This is something out of left field Sir, and I take my hat off to you. What a fantastic piece. The art work is out of this world (so to speak). Has your Pastor seen it yet? I bet he will be amazed at your immense talent. Cheers Fez

Thanks very much, Fez, and yes, he has seen it. He said he was "blown away", and read it in the service tonight, which I always find embarrassing. In fact, he sees everything that I write because his Facebook has a link where he receives everything that I write, if I share it there. So, he not only sees the spiritual poetry, which he asked for, but the horrific writes as well. Believe me when I tell you this. I get some glaring looks from him during some church services, at times. LOL.

Thanks for your review, mate. It's always a pleasure to hear from you.

Hahahahaha! I bet he is horrified with some of the horror stuff. I know Delia is ROFL. The other night when she saw the pic with the magnifying glass.."baby, Dean is so scary!" Hahahahaha! Cheers mate, Fez

Outstanding, Dean, loved every word. Beautifully written and perfectly presented.

One thing to inject, most main line traditional churches don't believe in the Rapture. It's mostly confined to the Pentecostals, of which I'm proud to be one, and an event for which I wait - the Rapture - with baited breath. It can't come soon enough for me, my friend. How about you?

In any event, great story, masterfully told!

Hugs,
Gayle

Your poem is beautifully composed and in line with what churches teach; I feel the font is a touch too small as I had to zoom in to read it comfortably.

I do, however, suggest you look into the Rapture premise, as it is fairly recently developed (less than 200 years); many verses reveal the 'bringing together' will occur when Christ returns to earth to establish the Kingdom of God. Christ said His angels will gather His elect from the four corners of the world. The great misnomer is that the Kingdom of God will be in heaven, but it is -of- heaven. Heaven's kingdom, which will erase all other governments and begin peace everlasting.

It is true that the 'dead in Christ' will rise first. The saints of old and new who have died will rise from their graves and join Christ as He comes down from heaven; is it not paradoxical the dead are resurrected when all that should happen, if they were in heaven, is that they come down from heaven with him? Yet scripture says those that follow Him from heaven are only the angels; the resurrected saints are brought to Him after resurrection.

I apologize for this no doubt unexpected essay from me, but your author note's spurred me to speak on this. I only hope what I've said has been helpful in some way.

    No worries, my friend, and I don't particularly subscribe to the Rapture Theory myself, as it is not anywhere in the Bible. I don't know one way or the other what's going to occur when that time comes. I don't believe that anyone can say they do unequivocally. This poem and the theme was brought about by the topic of the sermon had at our church this past Wednesday evening, which was on the rapture of the church. My pastor asked me to write about it, so I complied. :}

Thanks very n=much for your thoughtful review. It is appreciated.

    Very well; I am glad.

I always wanted to ask, though; how do you make such pieces the way you do? Do you write on an image and then post that image?
reply by the author on 04-Jan-2015
Yes, I do the artwork on Microsoft's Paint program. From there, I transfer the poem I've Ive written to the artwork, then save it as a .jpg imagae. I then transfer that image to Picasa 3 ( a google program), where I fine tune it. From there, I save it to photobucket, com (which is completely free, by the way, and I highly recommend it), which generates an html code for the photo. I paste the html code into the advanced editor, and create things just like this...

     photo 7256efd8-718c-4024-a1b2-16381baa6f99_zps42815b8c.jpg

It's a very involved process and takes a great deal of time, and if a mistake is made it isn't a matter of simply altering the test on FanStory. The entire piece must be redone.

...the "text" on FanStory, not "test. Geesh, I can't spell today! LOL...

I find this to be very well received young man! I agree with your pastor however, every piece you have crafted thus far that I have read, (whether horror or spiritual) has been incredibly written. This one is no exception, I think he will be very proud.
God bless!

You sneaked that one in on me. No gore and guts, no victory of Satan by ultimate devious trickery, no slipping down the chute into Hell because of an unjotted tittle? If you think that's weird-I taught Sunday School today...

Dear Dean, this is just my personal opinion, but I like you more when you write poems like this. You are like a poet-evangelizer here promoting the teachings of Christ and it sends a positive energy to the readers, rather than dark thoughts. Actually, there is a fake rapture coming, perpetuated by the Illuminati and the New World order evangelizers to deceive the Christians. They will present the fake Christ and many will be deceived if their faith in Christ is not fortified with the words of God, the words of God in the Bible, memorizing them by heart will expose the deceiver. Thanks for sharing this.

Hi Dean,

Well, I'm glad this isn't horror in the secular sense. The first part of this poem grabbed my attention as it sounded like the words of many grieving parents. You captured that well.

The second part of the poem sounds like a warning to non-believers concerning the rapture. There seems to be two themes going here. I suppose one could connect the reunion of father and children if he is part of the rapture. Therein lies some hope.

The font was quite tiny to read. :) I'm not a fan of evil looking pictures and such. The image of a man rising out the grave is cool. Though I think it will happen in a flash. :)

Curious what you mean by "enter Judah." Are you referencing the tribe or a place?

When the disruption took place at Shechem, at first only the tribe of Judah followed the house of David. But very soon after the tribe of Benjamin joined the tribe of Judah, and Jerusalem became the capital of the new kingdom (Joshua 18:28), which was called the kingdom of Judah. It was very small in extent, being only about the size of the Scottish county of Perth.

For the first sixty years the kings of Judah aimed at re-establishing their authority over the kingdom of the other ten tribes, so that there was a state of perpetual war between them. For the next eighty years there was no open war between them. For the most part they were in friendly alliance, co-operating against their common enemies, especially against Damascus. For about another century and a half Judah had a somewhat checkered existence after the termination of the kingdom of Israel till its final overthrow in the destruction of the temple (B.C. 588) by Nebuzar-adan, who was captain of Nebuchadnezzar's body-guard (2 Kings 25:8-21).

The kingdom maintained a separate existence for three hundred and eighty-nine years. It occupied an area of 3,435 square miles.

So, with that having been said, Yona, I am referring to the "New Kingdom" of Judah here, after the second coming of Christ.

I hope that answered any questions you might have, and I certainly appreciate your review.

Thank you for clarifying your intended meaning. It sounds like you are referring to Yeshua (Jesus) and His millennial reign as King. Messiah Ben David. Messiah Son of David. :)
