Well chosen words are expressive. Your feelings are expressed well. Your arrangement looks very nice. Well chosen words, colorful arrangement and wonderfully decorated thoughts. Very enchanted atmosphere, very enjoyable and thrilling.

A good read this, your Pastor is right, it does make a good change. While I don't believe in 'the Rapture' as preached by so many Churches such as yours, I can clearly see the faith that obviously sustains you.

Over the holiday the History Channel presented a 3 day movie title REVEALTION. I DVR it and watched it over the weekend. It was presented in an intelligent, non preachy manner reacting every statement issued in that book. It left me thinking that it is possible for the rapture to happen and the return of Christ, but it's 15 years past the due date so we will see.
Sorry for the rambling paragraph ,but reading this poem brought those thoughts to mind. The presentation is out of this world, as always. The theme challenges the reader to think about spiritual not religion. I think religion sometimes gets in the way of spiritual. Although The narrator is in pain," I have offended you , I fear," he is still in love with God and takes the blame of his children's departure on himself. He doesn't blame God which is the usual alley people go down. He hopes for an answers and gets one and more. The promise God made with the faithful during the rapture appears intimate with this man full of love and wonder. Thank your Pastor for having you go outside the box!

Not a fan of the Left Behind series, but I think you have done a great job in speaking Revelations in a poetic voice that is both biblical in tone and human. My daughter- are you referring to Mary?

No, the father speaking in the poem had both of his children snatched away by the rapture, while he was left behind. At least, that was my intended meeting. But because of his praise near the end, even despite what he felt was an injustice, God still agreed to take him, which only served to prove that He is truly loving and forgiving. I'm not a big proponent of the Rapture Theory myself, but then again, who knows for certain? Only God, I'd wager. The topic was a discussion of the sermon our pastor held that night, and he challenged me to write something about it. This is what I managed to come up with, and he really loved it, so I was happy.
Anyhow, thanks for the review, Ed. As always, i really appreciate it. :)

No worries, Ed. I'm so far behind it's pathetic! So much came in while I was off over the holidays for a couple of days, and I really got behind. But, that's better than having nothing to answer at all, right? :P

Great job with this portrayal of the Rapture. I think it has some Biblical background and I do think that believers will be taken up before the end. But no matter how it happens, I know God will be with us through it all and not to worry about the details. 8-)
