A truly remarkable remembrances to your dear mother. If it is possible for the deceased to see us from their station, I just know she was smiling and nodding her head and trying to say, "Thank you, I love you."

From our mother we learn a lot. My mother taught me to let her know if I would be late getting home, to be trustworthy in all things, to be an upstanding citizen,
never tell lies, to place my faith in God and the importance of education. It was
heart wrenching when I had to say goodbye. Your poem is beautifully told about your mother. Lovely free verse. Volunteer Angel

It is very true that we learn a lot of our basics from our mothers. Without them we find ourselves in situations that lack understanding and heart. I will say too that these qualities can come from fathers, too. But all too often they are busy with the stresses and troubles of life in a different sense. Good job!

you were so fortunate to have had her for so long. i lost my mother when I was 12.
