Very strong writing, interesting relationship of trainee and trainer, fantasy world very realistic and some lovely description of natural surroundings, an intruiging piece.

I think you did a great job with this chapter. I love the characters. They are fun and interesting. The viewpoint is omniscient right? That's interesting. I think you handled it well. My only thought is that by the nature of the viewpoint an author keeps the characters at arms length a little vs a viewpoint from the character. Well written. I enjoyed it.
