Wow, now if this isn't romantic, I don't know what is, and what a very lovely senryu, too. Not only is the sentiment sweet, but the whole poem is wonderfully written and a great idea for this prompt. (I especially loved "sparks fly"!)

I like the alliteration in this Senryu and the thought of reconnecting
through a 40th reunion. I recently had my 50th and it can happen.
With all of us together, it was as if time had never passed.

It sounds very exciting. I have run across some folk I haven't seen in that long and sometimes it is as though time has never passed. Yes, it certainly can and does happen. :))
