A beautiful poem of faith and strength. You kept your promise to God and in return he gave you the strength you were looking for. Very well written. I remembered that I have forgotten all about my arms... those two limbs at both sides of my body that once embraced lovers, cuddled children,
hung wares on the clothes line... Now I realise the importance of my arms. Things we take for granted, but you made them so precious here. I have always loved the story of the mustard seed, and in this poem, you bring it back to life and give it so much meaning. Loved this. Genya

WHEN WE ARE DOWN AND SICK IN BED WE WILL ALL MAKE PROMISES WE HOPE TO KEEP TO THE MAN ABOVE TO JUST LET US LIVE ANOTHER DAY. SOME KEEP THEIR WORDS TO GO AND SOME JUST TAKE HIM FOR GRANTED TILL THEY NEED HIM AGAIN.

I promised to Good God
that on the next sunshiny day
I would walk to my yard, ---> I believe you meant you promised to "God", amada...

that once embraced lovers,
cuddled children,
hung wears wares on the clothes line... ---> Perhaps "wares" on the clothesline?

It is better to have the faith no larger than that of a mustard seed than to have no faith at all. I completely agree, amada. For without faith, we have no hope, and without hope, we are lost.

Well done, and best of luck to you in the Faith Poetry contest... ~Dean

Hi, Amada,

The best kind of faith is the tried and true from the heart as witness to His glory. This is so heartfelt---a pleasure to read.

Good luck in the contest.

*Happy Holidays*
