Murder sounds interesting!! LOL, perhaps not that far, but there are alternatives. Well we have three drunk ladies here, all in similar positions, desperately needing money, so they have to think of something, but I wonder what? :)

As you now know, the chat line idea seems to be the only option. I've had great fun researching the subject on their behalf!

Laura brought the lamb sharks ceremoniously to the table--I think you mean ...lamb 'shanks' not sharks. LOL
Hmmmm, murdering the bastard... well, that's one way to go. LOL. :-)
Great work on this one, girl.

Lol, you've done it again! I don't know how many times I've read this and never noticed. As for the other reviewers... Well done! Alexis xxx

I enjoyed reading this chapter. It was an earthy account of reality, and it was entertaining to be in on one of these women conversations. I live way out on a farm and never get a chance to socialise, so this was my window to the world for today. Way to go!
One typo:
so he understand what it feels like to lose someone you love.
so he understand[s] what it feels like to lose someone you love.

Thank you so much for this great review and very generous six! As is the case with a lot of this book, I've used some real life situations (with permission from my friends!) It wasn't until I gave some of them a first draft to read, that they asked if I thought they were drinking more than they should. That was an awkward one to answer! Alexis x

I never watched "Sex and the City" but I bet there were a lot of scenes similar to this. I haven't been following but the only "plot" I pick up is the ladies' concern for each other's love life. The last line offers hope for a crime story.

Yes, that's why I put it there. Still haven't worked that idea in, but any suggestions would be gratefully received! Alexis x

Poison is a drink is always good. Maybe one of the girls tries to frame her.

This was a good look at what women think about men. Wonder how many really are speaking the truth or maybe just trying to build a wall around their true feelings. Oh hell I will never understand it anyway so I will just read and enjoy and forget about thinking lol

Lol! No, this is the way three women might think if they don't have a partner by their sides due to unforeseen circumstances. From a personal point of view, I think most women really appreciate the good points their partners have - maybe venting off occasionally helps that! Thank you for your great review. Alexis x

See I knew it I don't understand them at all lol

Hi BC - I've got some catching up to do on this one. For now I can tell you you've intrigued me enough to keep reading. Always a key in the beginning, wanting to read more. Stories are a bit harder for me to review at present but I'll catch up as soon as I can. This reads well, has enough punch and twist to have me curious on your characters and their lives. Great job my friend.
Thanks for sharing, happy holidays to you and yours.

I liked your chapter, it was a good read. Good use of the word "supercilious," had to look that one up :) I liked how the atmosphere changes as a function of how much the ladies have to drink. It's easy, then it's fun as they take a swing at men, then it turns darker as real life butts into their conversation. You touched on several emotions and let the characters grow a bit.
