I feel that things are tilting toward good. This is, of course, the way society changes prejudice attitude. Now to see how this command to the soldiers actually gets carried out.

You've got quite a story going on here, Mikey. You portray a difficult period of time. Glad I'm living now, although maybe I was living then as well! I was a bit confused by the sudden point-of-view change from the Oracle and the wolf to Trellitia. And what happened to the people pursuing the Oracle? (These may be dumb questions, as I've not read every single chapter in your story; so forgive me if that's the case!)

I am pleased to know there is an end to this section coming soon. I am anxious to know how you plan to deal with Cicero...again, make it a long, painful death!

Clever idea to have Cervantes lead the group of townspeople to "help" Cicero. But then you went and sent another man for more help... will this never end? LOL! Nice dialogue... how do you know the way they spoke back then? From movies or were you THERE? Muahahaaaaaa... Mikey the Immortal One. LOL! :)

You have a unique style that is reminiscent of Victorian writers. There is action on every page. I like the scene with the Oracle and the wolf. At a basic, animal level, they seem to have an unspoken understanding. Cicero is indeed one who does not give up.

Keep up the good work!
Joe

Michael: I ran out of tens...I like how you are wrapping this up with the evil priests being dead...so evil..not kind of Godly at all. The soldiers need to believe the people that they didn't kill the priests. Maybe, a campfire, wolves and Julia and Trelitia appearing to stop the wolves, then become friends with the soldiers with warm tasty dinner. It is your story. I like your writing style and out of box thinking with the suspence to keep us reading. Good comments on the FanStory contest too. Let us celebrate the season.

Moving along beautifully. The pauses for small interactions with the colorful characters are awesome. Loved how you took a side character like the oracle and used him to entertain and to represent universal human dilemas. Excellent.

Another exciting chapter where good is trying to prevail over evil, let us hope it continues to do so. Great story, characters and a must read. Faye

Your story and story telling simply improves with every writing. The chapters, the characters are developed more fully and the motivation more apparent. There is an impending sense of intrigue that makes the reader want to read on and see what is next. Loren

That is so good to hear. I keep finding these various people doing interesting things on their own as the pieces move around. I got very attached to this story and I don't seem to want it to end! But, it's getting there. I'm delighted you enjoy it. mikey

Sounds like the tide is turning towards the good guys. You keep making it seem more and more like Trellitia really is a card carrying witch. Its funny how Leo was so built up to be the big enemy that now with him being dead the rest of the story feels a little anti-climactic. I know they're still in danger but it just isn't quite the same.
Your characters as always have great interactions. Your descriptions do a wonderful job of bringing the story to life.
I like that the villagers are going undercover with the turned priest.
Another great chapter.

Yeah, I regretted killing Leo, but the blood thirsty readers were chomping at the bit for his head. We'll see if I can amp it up one last time for the finale. U.S. Marines teleported from the future is a little far-fetched right?
