It's surely a worthy purpose, Dr. Nad. Many people have little idea how to help a child through a bereavement. And children are especially good at pretending all is well. I remember my young niece commenting about the death of a young friend and neighbour. "I'm fine," she insisted. "I don't even care!" She was trying so hard to pretend the pain away. It's so good there are people who specialize in allowing children to feel safe enough to voice their pains and fears. Well done, Dr. Nad. Good luck in the contest.

When I lost my mother at seven, back in the early 60's, a camp experience like this would have felt heaven sent. I have read books on these types of camps and am so glad you chose to share the information in this wonderful contest entry. Good luck!

I have never heard of a bereavement camp before, but it sounds like absolute heaven. What a great place to heal! The poem flows along very nice telling of all the activities and counseling. What a very rewarding experience!

I founded a Music Charity in 1995 for hard to reach and disadvantaged children and young people, so know how much work is needed to keep these type of projects going. Just reading this poem shows the hard work and dedication that has gone into providing a safe and fun place to be for children who desperately need support at times like these. This is the kind of organisation I would volunteer at. I would love working here. Your poem brings this camp to life and is a brilliant idea for these children. I founded a Music Charity in 1995 for hard to reach and disadvantaged children and young people, so know how much work is needed to keep these type of projects going. Just reading this poem shows the hard work and dedication that has gone into providing a safe and fun place to be for children who desperately need support at times like these. This is the kind of organisation I would volunteer at. I would love working here. Your poem brings this camp to life and is a brilliant idea for these children.
