Although I do not believe as you do, in the messiah as it were. I certainly agree with everything you have written. It really gets my anger up. I have come to really find from October on, a well of depression to sink into. Good one.

I thank you for your comments but wish to suggest that all we have ourselves to bring about changes; others are going to be what they are. I hope you will sink anger in that well and lift your spirit up. Messiah in my poem is only to remind the reader to think about work of all who tried and failed to bring humanity together and peace on earth. Thanks again.

Oh, I agree with you. I guess I am just getting old and feel I am running out of time. Not happy with the world I leave my grandchildren.

Perhaps you need to look back and see what you inherited from your parents and grand parents; you will find world has improved, not as much as we wanted but things are better today than they were in the beginning of the last century. We have to live with hopes and not with despair because our children and grandchildren come through us but not from us. they are tomorrow we cannot visit (Khalil Gibran in Prophet). I suggest you think of today and make best of it, so even though your time may be short; it is your time to do what so ever you can with it.

I shall do that. Thank you.

You are welcome.

I hear you! And so very true that materialism is one the banes of our age! Recently, a good friend of mine bought me a nice watch. I think I'm falling in love with it, lol!
What's also funny is that I like to wear very casual, modest attire - along with my new watch:-)
I don't think you're preaching. I think you're telling it like it is!
Peace and God bless!

Thank you Mike. I think it is important that we cherish some gifts given to us as mementos. I hope you will continue to enjoy your gift. I am happy my poem is not appearing as a sermon. Just felt the express feelings of people who are forgotten by the friends and relatives. Best regards.

Evening, Niyuta. I agree with you readily. Yes, you're right: the gift is a memento and as long I don't worship it, lol, then it is okay to enjoy it:-)
Blessings in abundance!
Mike
