When I got done reading this the first thing that came to my mind was, 'The curious case of Benjamin Button'. It just reminded me of that story with the speed that you went through his life.
This was a great poem. It went at incredible speed and yet still managed to have poignant moments that were well described and very emotional.
Excellent job, especially for the brevity of it.

Wonderfully written Tableau poem as you take the reader on this journey of life, a flashback that comes full circle as we experience ... screams, his fists clench tight. This is end of the line for this guy who led a full life and we can all relate to the life events he experienced from beginning to end. Life has a way of coming full circle. Death will kiss us all goodbye.

Great job painting this picture. All verses are in compliance with Tableau Format. Really enjoyed reading your poem. Thanks for entering. Cheers ... ;o)

A worthy and original entry for this contest. You describe in stages how life can work. And you fulfilled the requirements well. Best wishes for the contest.

Oh, Mikey - this is incredible, truly a dramatic and highly evocative poem. Each of the stanzas is so easy to imagine, to visualize and 'feel'. Great use of repetition, too VERY nicely done! Best of luck in the contest! (I'm all out of sixes or you'd have one for this in a heartbeat.)

Oh, why did I give away all my 6's so early? This would surely get one, if I had any. I read this poem breathless. I wanted to get to the end; to see how it came out. As the mother of a son, I felt it acutely. Thank you. This one is a gem.

A well-paced life. Each of your tableaux tells of a landmark occasion, some happy, some sad, but all with a ring of truth. The seven ages of man neatly encapsulated in six word-pictures. Well done.

I love the poem. It is a shorten version of the life of a man. First a baby, crying in anger. Then a young boy. Then a grown man. Screaming in fear. Can he do this? Wife and two young children are depending on him. He makes it to see his grandson a grown man. Then, too soon he is a old man. His wife screams as dies. Life is too short. It begins and ends with tears and anger. Great work.
