Wow! I really love this poem. I was very cleverly written. It sounded really kind of Shakespearean. I loved the playfulness of the poem and the art work. And the message of the poem was great.

Nicely written for those who have their muse out of scope. They just come and go as they please, don't they. Like you say, sometimes it is best to take a rest, and the muse will get lonely. LOL

I have such an awful attitude about that! I only see my limitations and every time I post I think, What if this is my last one? What if I can't come up with any more ideas? Love the pairing of slows/repose (I'm storing that one away!)

If I compose a really good one (in my humble opinion) I wonder if I'll ever write another, the saying, your only as good as your next poem, holds us captive sometimes! But hey, I doesn't matter, great review, thanks, blessings, Roy.

Excellent thoughts in this witty little poem. The rhymes catch the whole experience, and as you say why fret? Just a spoonful of JD will help the medicine go down, and rouse that pesky muse from it's hole. A fun enjoyable poem.

Nicely done Roy. How many times have I carped at my own dryness. Two very poignant quatrains. Your rhyme scheme is natuarl and unforced. Your voice is powerful and authentic here. Excellent piece. Rod

You said it, Roy! Good one!
How many times I've given up, ready to delete the whole damn book, and next day, I wake up and type four chapters in a row. I wish I knew what the secret is to being inspired. COuld it be sleep? I don't usually take time for sleeping... maybe I'll give that a shot. :)

I think I mentioned that, go to bed when you struggle, the next morning brings inspiration and a new perspective! I now go to bed and rise early, with the farmers, they know what they're doing! Great review, thanks Phyllis, blessings, Roy.

I have has periods of time when my well of ideas went dry and my pen I would lay aside. Then I would look closely at what was surrounding me inside and outside. I always surprises me how an idea then will seems to be written in the sky.

So true! I've never suffered from 'writer's block'...I always have way too much I'd like to write, and never enough time! I keep a notebook of every little idea to refer to...great poem! Like the humor!

Thanks Judy, for this lovely review and comments, I must admit I'm not really devoid of ideas, but I though I'd throw this out there, blessings Roy.

As a poem it sound really good. Good rhyme, good message and the overall flow is smooth. As a person who is more prone to the poem block, I couldn't find any solace here. So I'll read this over and over till the last paper is trashed.
