Excellent 1-6-1. So many get wrapped up in other activities they forget or overlook the real 'reason for the season'. Your poem, simply stated and beautifully presented, is a wonderful reminder. Congratulations on a well-deserved win! :)

Superb work with this one and I am thrilled you won the contest. You never cease to impress and amaze me. I really enjoyed this one...and bah humbug to anyone that doesn't like the music!

    Hah, thanks, very much, Smurphgirlsasha. The music, I debated quite a bit about whether or not I should add it. But I felt the poem was so short, given the format, that it wouldn't be too much of a distraction, if any.

    I'm really happy that you liked it anyway, and I sincerely appreciate your thoughtful review. :}

    No, I liked the music and was just boo hooing (not sure how the hell you spell that) those that complain about it.

    Thanks, Smurph, and I'm really happy to know that you did. It gave it a whole different feel, I thought.

    Thanks again~ :}

    Thanks very much, mary, I do appreciate it.

    The music was a last second decision. It was one of those, "Well...should I, or shouldn't I?" kind of things. These poems are so short, I decided to put it in, feeling that it wouldn't be a distraction.

    Thanks so much again!

Hi Dean - A good message and a beautiful picture - another winner. Congrats! As you say 'he really is the reason for the season' - I'm not sure everyone remembers this. Warm regards Dorothy x

Nice poem, says it all about the season and the reason: child and smiled. Your timing couldn't be better to catch reader's attention. Good luck in the vote.

Always Jesus! Reason for hope and joy in any season. Love this music and your thoughts. Blessings! Good News to the Nations! You should do well as a scribe for Jesus in this contest and others. Way to honor Jesus!

    God will use this to touch hearts for the seasons. Time is short. We are the scribes shining light in the night. Soli deo Gloria!

What better way to celebrate and commemorate the coming of our Lord's birthday.
Perfect and richly expressed with picture and lyrics.

He sure is, Dean.

The one word first and last lines are effective with the mono-rhyme.

Love this soothing deviation from the terror!

Season's greetings, friend. Best wishes for the contest. (No pleasant screams this time - sigh of relief!)

    Thanks, Reach. As far as the contest goes, it's probably a lost cause. But, we can't win them all, right?

    Thanks so much for your outstanding comments.

    NO. But you do win your share ... right?? :)

This work has reached the exceptional level

Your poem is about "a reason for the season."

You have the 1-6-1 as required and the music is nice as well.

Good luck in the contest.
