Sasha - If it wasn't for bad luck, you would have no luck at all. I laughed with and its says something about your character that you can laugh about anything right now. Hope things turn out okay. Always warm regards, Bill

Thanks so much. Amazing what a few days can do for one's attitude. I must admit I giggle while writing this one. On paper it seems so absurd. I agree, it is either bad luck or no luck at all for me...at least most of the time...LOL

Think its the first time I've stumbled onto one of your ramblings.
Thoroughly enjoyed it!
You are an amazing person with and incredible sense of humor and even greater talent for writing/ tale telling!

Thank you so very much. Often my writing is dark so I invented the ramble to destress myself and continued to write them for several years. I am thrilled you enjoyed this. They are fun to write because I never know where they will go or how they will end up...that's the fun part. I appreciate the 6 stars too.

LOL/ My hubby would have said the same thing to the bank. Problem is you have to keep bugging them twice a day to get moving. Make a phone call from their office to a friend and talk loudly about the bank's attitude.
That toe business sounds really painful. Glad you found something to help.
That's a hoot about the mustache. I don't notice things like that too. But hey, how many guys realize you changed your hairstyle or lipstick color? Same thing.
Always fun to read your rambles. :-)

You make a great point with the mustache...my husband never noticed if I changed my hair color or took notice of what I was wearing. In fact, we made a truly odd couple. I am so pleased you liked this one.

Well, I'm glad they are thinking about giving you at least part of your money back. That's better than none. Your toe thing is interesting. I use to have warts all over the bottom of my foot. It was horrible trying to get rid of them. I hope your toes heal quickly.

How interesting, I used to have them too. Took forever to get rid of them.

I find it a miracle that you could go all those years and neither you nor anyone else noticed partially webbed toes. It's actually astonishing. That looks like a terrible risk for a very cool picture. "Lame" is another word that Mexicans don't care for. OMG! I just noticed, I only have four toes on my left foot. Go figure. mikey

For heaven's sake, warn me...I just spewed coffee all over my screen. You needn't be so critical...I did say it was partial and only about an inch of skin betwixt the toes. Besides I am blind in one eye...what's your excuse!

Your toe injury and the pain sound awful, on top of all the other misery. I am glad your friend (great picture of her) went with you to the bank and threatened them, only way to go. I hope that gets recovered soon. Most interesting ramble and most enjoyable. Faye

Thanks. I am so pleased you liked this one. My foot feel a bit better today, I think the pomade has helped a lot. But I am still being very careful...I am terrified of bumping it again.

At first I thought it was a picture of you holding your sore toes. it is amazing you never noticed your webbed toes or that a sibling or friend didn't during childhood. I baby sitted an infant with the cutest webbed toes. He also had muscular dystrophy which his mother told me can ride the same gene as webbed toes. don't know for sure, but that's what she said.

I can't remember if I wrote you about the question I had regarding your book. I really enjoyed it and gave a full star review on Amazon. But I wondered what became of Colene as she isn't mentioned in the later encounters with family.

I have written several short stories about Colleen. She continues to live at the group home my mother found for her. I was appointed her guardian but my sisters went to court and I lost custody. I don't have any contact with her, not because I don't want to but because the group home refuses to respond to my inquiries. My sisters have turned them against me. I have faith that I will see her again and that she will remember me as though I had always been there. I do miss her and think of her often. I know that Colleen will put me out of her mind, which is how she deals with things and people she no longer has contact with, but when we meet again, she will act as though no time has passed.

Was she ever clearly diagnosed? I worked for years with people who had autism at different spectrums. She reminded me of them.
reply by the author on 27-Nov-2014
Not officially but my mother was told she appeared to have a rare form of autism. She has symptoms of other thisngs too. She will eat any and everything if you let her, she has several physical tics, and almost never cries.

Oh my dear, I feel so badly for you - I really do. Would it help if "Murphy" were changed to "Smith" perhaps?

All kidding aside, you do seem to have a lot of bad luck, but I must say this - these 'rambles' are so amusing, the rest of us can't wait to hear about the latest fiasco! (Nice, huh? Now if that is not a back-handed compliment I don't know what is!!!) (Still luv ya! :0)

Don't apologize, they ARE fiascoes. I love your so-called back-handed compliments. I am thrilled you liked this one.

You are astonishing. Who else in FanStar, or anywhere else for that matter, could sit down and write something as outrageously wonderful and funny and endearing as this without, it appears, having the faintest idea what she was going to write about when she sat down.
OK, so it probably wasn't like that; it just appears to be thus... perhaps. To my mind that makes it even more skilful.
Awesome!

No, you are correct. I never know what I am going to say when I sit down at the computer. I have a general idea or vague motivation but beyond that, it is like having an unrehearsed one-sided conversation with someone over coffee. That is why I call them Smurphy Rambles or A leads to B, B leads to C, and so on. Sadly, I talk this way too which can be quite irritating to some people. I am thrilled you got a kick out of this one

I'm not sure how one defines a power of observation by degrees, my observation is inward, developed as a child, it hits what people call day dreaming, although since having an encounter with God, is more outward! I have read in previous excerpts of your articles, a propensity for insomnia, a dislike of exercise, an adversion for some bank staff, I enjoyed your interesting life, post injury! Well written, excellent chitchat, well done, blessings, Roy.

I know I do not posses very strong powers of observations, but I have an awesome memory. i can recall events that took place when I was as young as 6 months of age. Apparently it is not all that uncommon. We all have the memories but not all can recall them. Thanks for the positive review. I am pleased you enjoyed it.

Men more often than not have poor memories for names, appointments, and a memory of events, which I confess is my failing, that's why I'm married! Welcome for the review, good article! Roy.
