You are the blessed one. Utopia, here in the midst of turmoil. Well done for sending out peaceful thoughts. Blessings to you.

Being able to control both the sensory influences and the people you share and are WILLING to make concessions for, is a liberating and empowering moment.
Greatly scripted to let the reader experience the freedom through your words.

An excellent poem about quiet. I penned one this morning, as a matter of fact, about the very same thing. As poets/writers cutting out all the distraction is a blessing.

A blessing, indeed! So good when it is in our control. It is almost 2 p.m. here and I haven't eaten, bathed nor dressed yet because I am so inspired to review and write today . . . and no one here to chastise me. Thank you for reading and commenting. Blessing to you and your family. livelylinda

Got a chuckle out of your note, linda. "I haven't eaten, bathed nor dressed yet because I am so inspired to review and write today..."
-
It is the truth. It is now 3:30 p.m. and I may remain in the pj's all day today! Linda
-
Hey--why bother to change now? LOL. We deserve a day off once in a while.

I love the artwork you posted to go with your poem
I could sense the peace and calmness every where. Every Jesus had a secret and quiet place.
Thank you for sharing.

Hi, Linda,
It would appear as if the move was GREAT! (*,*) Good, I'm glad. Peace and quiet are very nice, and as you say, a little music, what's not to love?? NOTHING!
Enjoy.... Tranquil photo too.
Cheers & Blessings

Jax: the move was overdue and I actually didn't realize how stressed I had become until I was wrapped in the comfort of MY new home. Thanks for reading. Linda

enjoying the quiet

a much healthier diet ... beautiful. Happy for you, Linda.
The picture is exquisite and filled me with an overwhelming sense of peace. Obviously your present/new state of mind.
My mom always says, "When God closes a door, he opens a window". I think he's opened a lovely window for you.
Take it easy. Thinking of you. Praying for you.
Love,

Thank you, Linda! Now, you keep warm up there in the cold and snow. Linda
-
LOL...I will...and you stay cool down there...LOL...Love ya...xxoo
-
I have the heat on. Stuck my head out the door earlier today and quickly shut the door again. It was quite cold so stayed inside all day. Putting an extra blanket on tonight. Linda
-
LMAO...you are so funny...what is it???...60 degrees...LOL...my folks are the same way...wipe out the heating pad...your so cute...smiling
-
NO, it is NOT 60 degrees! We have had about three freezes already. There is frost on the window pane each morning. About a week ago it was hot and humid and I had the ac on but now the heat is on. I would not be surprise if we actually got a little snow one morning! Oh, and I don't have a snow shovel!! NOW, you can laugh! Linda
-
snow???? hummmmm...I think you took one to many nitro....LOL...oh you poor thing...frost on the windows...burrrrr...LOL...and no snow shovel...you better get to home Depot before they run out....love
-
Thank you, Linda, for a mighty laugh this morning! I laughed out loud and am still sitting here in front of the computer, giggling like a school girl. Well, off to the kitchen to get my coffee. Linda
-
so glad I made you laugh...now go warm up with your coffee...later you...Love xxoo

A sublime description of a peaceful place. Four good stanzas with rhyme form in stanzas 2, 3 and 4 in good aba form. In stanza 1 by transposing lines 1 and 2, with a tiny edit this stanza would also be aba form. Just a thought not a criticism of a very tranquil enjoyable read. Warm regards Dorothy x
