Sing unto the Lord
With thanksgiving
Praise Him with the harp.
He put the clouds in the sky
To bring rain to the earth
And grass to grow on the mountains.
My name is Jenny Harp...and I love this psalm and the glory you give God

Very lovely wording in this. It is dignified as befitting the subject. You offer praise to the Lord for His healing power and understanding. He can lift up the meek, as you write, and see that the wicked are punished. Your last stanzas are especially beautiful, with the imagery of singing praise, accompanied by the harp. judi

Dear Pat,
We spent six weeks in Las Cruces last winter and really enjoyed our time there.
This is a great praise poem. It reminds me of the doxology which I really like to sing.
Happy Thanksgiving,
Winslow

We usually go to Mexico since we have made many friends at the hotel we go to in Rincon de Guayabitos. (Mostly Canadians) We are going there for two weeks in January and then plan to spend Feb and March in Las Cruces.

What beautiful words you have chosen here to Praise the Lord. Excellent picture to go with it. He has counted the stars he has even given them their own names. How beautiful these words sound. Just shows how powerful our creator is. Loved this. Genya

Thank you Genya for the nice review. This was a paraphrase of a Psalm so the words are those of the Lord, I just put them in poetic form as God was instructing me to write them.

Warm words of praise to the Lord. He says He lives in our praises so what better way to have Him near than to sing praises to him continually

Pat, this reads like a Psalm of adoration in its free verse style. Full of rich language that King David would be proud of. Nice work. Happy Thanksgiving. :0 GracieAnn

There is no poetry ever written more beautiful that the Psalms. If you, if anyone would be a poet, let him look to the Psalms for inspiration, for instructionon how it is best done. If you would follow the example of the Psalms your efforts will be blessed.
