Hello, my friend, Ben. I enjoyed reading this story. I am a little out of sorts today and reading about your author friend dying only brought out more tears. My family doctor of 45 years, and a dear friend, died yesterday. I will have to read your story again when I am better, as I was interested in the publishing thoughts. Good job. :>D Miss Sally PS. I Loved the story of Tikki

time he turn on the ignition- either he'd turn on or he turned on
I stopped receiving any from him. - doesn't sound right. any news from him or e-mails or anything. It how it reads to the reader. I read it once again, and it makes sense, but it trips up the reader at first.
A very nice story, Ben. Excellent read.

Once again, beware most of the money pit publishers out there. I'll keep my eye open for the commander's book.
Interesting read. Excellent.

What a poignant read, Ben.
I spent a week with my 92 year old uncle in Sydney, Australia. He is a doctor and as sharp as sharp can be.
God has a set time for our days.
May your friend rest in peace.
God bless you, brother.

Commander Fisher was a blessing who I enjoyed every moment we correspond. It is good to have friends and loved ones reaching their nineties. My Brother-in law is 96 and going strong. Mom lived to be 93. Amazing and encouragement Shalom my friend.

Same back to you Bro. The commander was a blessing. Tikki is a mess.

My uncle was killed in the Battle of Leyte Golf and only recently I connected with a man who was on a ship in that fleet and saw the bomb hit the USS Johnston. He remember saying, "That's Stan's ship." He gave me several books about WWII to read. Very fascinating - and I can understand why Fisher's book read the same for you, having lived similar experiences. Great Job.

My deepest concern for your loss. He left us as a hero in my opinion. Yes, the Commander was a blessing and his book more so. Thank you for your kind review.

A nice essay Ben, I gather this is a true story, I was engrossed by the fact that all writers are more or less on the same wave Oh well, I was absorbed by this relational account Ben, and the disappointment that his death brought you! Well written, I enjoyed it Ben, good luck in the contest, blessings, Roy.
