I adore the smiles in their family photo, Brooke. Made me smile right back at them. Your poem is perfect for remembering all the blessings we have that we so frequently forget are here for us to enjoy and feel the beauty around us. Lovely thoughts about the little things that make our lives so joyous. Happy Thanksgiving, Brooke.
Smiles,
Karyn :-)

This gets a 6 from me because, once again, it seems perfect to me. I love the alliteration. This is the perfect Thanksgiving poem for a child, I think. Now, when did you say you were going to publish?

I am new to your work. I like this piece a lot. The tumbling rhyme scheme is perfect for the subject matter andvis also very age and image appropriate. I look forward to reading more.

Do you like to hear suggested variations to your works?
(Some maestros are touchy, some laid back and chatty.)
Just an idle question for future reference. This poem is as usual quite excellent.

Thanks so much, LIJ - I'm always open to hearing suggestions though I have to admit I usually preferring my version LOL Over the years I've had people send me some unusually metered lines :-) Brooke

I like this Brooke. Children are so honest in what they are thankful for most of the time. Children can teach we adults in the room if only we would give them a few minutes to express what they feel. As I was raising my girls many times one of them would say something that would bring me to a total stop as I had to ponder what they had said. Children, just some of the little things I am so thankful for at this time. Blessings, Patricia
