Brooke you have done it again. You capture the innocence as seen through a child's eyes and this brought tears to mine. I walk with Gabe and he sees such wonder in EVERYTHING. Thank you and happy thanksgiving
God bless

I guess that photo encapsulates much of what you are thankful for in your life's journey. Grandchildren seem to rekindle that dormant spirit lost as our children grew older. I'm sure, like me, every new photo you receive brings the biggest of smiles....

Happy Thanksgiving, Brooke. John

This poem caught my eye because of the title. We don't give enough thanks for the little things we encounter every day. So it will be a really lovely poem for little ones. I love the rhyme scheme in which the poem flows beautifully.

This is the true poem that expresses the attitude of gratitude. It is so simply, but brilliantly conceived. The formula of lists of common, but loved things/experiences combined with advice to give thanks, creates an entrancing sequence of verses bursting with positivity. Great entertainment and advice. Loved:
For the web of the weaving spider,
for the sweet in the apple cider,
for my friend when I sit beside her -
give thanks for the joy life brings.

A very appropriate sign of thanks giving holiday wishes. It's also a nice positive outlook on things for everyday life and done in a spiritual manner as well. I give thanks for such poetry anytime I see it. :)

Hi Brooke
Lovely poem for Thanksgiving Day!
It tells me not to focus on the bad things that interrupt my life. Instead, be grateful for so many gifts that I take for granted.
I especially like,
"for the sweet in the apple cider"
"for the smell when the bacon's frying"
My favourite verse,
"When clouds keep the sun from shining
and pouts try to hide my smiling -
when troubles are what life brings,
give thanks for the little things."
What a great picture of Miranda, Andy, and little Sawyer. He's so fortunate to have wonderful parents and a super grandmother!
Nicely penned!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Kimbob

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, too, Kimbob, and thank you for your generous review :-) Miranda is going on a Mexican vacation this long weekend with a rich girlfriend who is picking up the whole tab. Sawyer will be enjoying the company of Andy and his parents. Already she is jealous of the plans Andy and his parents have for doing things with Sawyer. LOL :-) Brooke

That little boy is more precious looking every day, Brooke, I can see you smiling. Those little things are the big things in every event, every day. Strong rhyming couplets, and excellent meter. Happy turkey day. Kenny

Hi Brooke, what a wonderfully penned offering for tomorrows thanksgiving , I love the way you end each stanza with the same message, that we really should give thanks, perhaps this should be adopted as your national Thanksgiving prayer, it is most suitable, I wish you and all your wonderful family a very happy Thanksgiving my friend.
