Hi Brooke, what a very sweet children's poem and an adorable pic of your family. I loved the use of listing the happy things life has to offer, and the refrains of giving thanks. Brings to mind the Sound of Music when I read this. As always, the rhythm and rhyming were impeccable.

A family that plays together stays together. An old saying that is fulfilled in the ways you put words together. Lovely poems Brooke which add measurably to my day.

Amen on the subject matter Brooke... a truly beautiful poem-- sentiment, rhyme, flow and yes, reason... give thanks for the joy life brings and yes, give thanks for the little things... cause it's the little things that make the big things ... big!

How often we forget to be thankful for the little things in life. We are such a privileged society that we take things for granted as they have always been there. We have never had to want for them. Thanks for reminding us of the small things. Happy Thanksgiving.

Great mono rhymed stanzas and nice use of repetition.
