Hi Brooke - a perfect poem for Thanksgiving and a wonderful picture of a very happy family. Good rhyme throughout with lines 1,2 and 3 in mono-rhyme each stanza and lines 4 rhyming give this poem a good rhythmic flow. Very nice. Of course, we do not celebrate Thanksgiving in England, but in the spirit of the season I wish you and your lovely family Happy Thanksgiving. Warm regards Dorothy x

Looks like they're having fun, those people! LOL!
Now I'm wondering if you're always so upbeat or is it having Sawyer around that lights up your life so much. It's nice in either case.
Interesting rhythm and rhyme scheme in this one. It just bounces along, revealing more reasons to the grateful. Nice one, Brooke.

So sweet. It really is the little things that make life. However simple the blessing is, " ravioli" or a "breeze" we do tend to take them for granted.
Great reminder in each last line.
What a great reminder of a blessing in a family, selfie included. LOL

"For my cat when he comes to nuzzle,
for the pop when I blow [I] bubble... -- ...when I blow "a" bubble.
A wonderfully rhymed and metered little verse. It's message is clear; we don't have to have boatloads of money or fancy, expensive toys to be happy. All we really need to do is look around us.
Great job, Brooke! :}~Dean

Your sweet poem reminds us all that we have so much to be thankful for if we just take the time to reflect. I like the rhyme of the poem. I really like the repeated line "give thanks of the little things." The flow is great and the message is perfect for this time of the year. Thanks for sharing.

Oh my goodness. Needed this today. The news is killing me.
This is just a terrific way to start contemplating Thanksgiving before I start to peel the sweet potatoes. My contribution to the huge family meal in two days. Hope we are not snowed in...or out. 'Cause I am putting bourbon in my sweet potatoes. Have a great day.

Granny, thank you so much :-) Yes, the news is depressing the crap out of many of us. I appreciate your generous sixth star. Brooke

Another delightful poem from you Brooke. Yes, we need to be thankful for the little things in life that brings us joy.
That more than anything means family and friends. Happy Thanksgiving to you and Sawyer, his mom and dad. God bless your little family! You have a son as well! Does he have a family? This blessing is for them too. :<) xsx Nancy

Yes, everyday, we should give thanks for the little things. Those we take for granted, never expecting to miss them, without imagining life without them, until they are gone, or we are. Great job. :-)

Hi Brooke,
A lovely set of things to be thankful for in the run-up to Thanksgiving, and as ever, well presented. Funny how, when we think about them, these are indeed the small things we really do nothing to deserve and really seldom give proper thanks for.
