Give thanks for the small things
The joy living life brings
From the smile of a grandchild
To his head of hair growing wild
For all the signs of a healthy being
We give thanks for the joy of seeing
Well done, as always, Buck

I'm reminded of the book, " Don't Sweat the Small
Stuff and It's all Small Stuff". Thanks for the reminder to count our blessings that are all around us. Happy Thanksgiving Brooke.

Hi. I like the set up..3 lines in rhyme and the repeated slightly changed last line. I have not seen anyone but you do this...and as usual you nail the poem.
Happy Thanksgiving.

Yes, people often forget the true meaning of Thanksgiving. Life is full of blessings which we should express gratitude for. Another lovely photo to add to your collection. Excellent rhyming and super message. Most enjoyable as always. Faye

This is a lovely poem to remind us to be thankful, Brooke, even for the little things. I especially like the "rolly in the roly poly." :)
I love the repetition of "For the." I am impressed by your rhyming scheme, and your use of alliteration is nicely done: roll/roly; thanks/things; blow/bubble; piece/puzzle.
Thanks for another wonderfully-written, fun and thoughtful poem, Brooke! Happy Thanksgiving! Alana

Such simple thoughts, and yet - so pure of life and full with joy at the simple things that give us solace or pleasure.
This is a great poem for that book of inspiration I keep harping about.
Sometimes we get down in the dumps - it's nice to know that there are some poems that are there to lift us up.
Rose.

This is a proper Thanksgiving poem that accompanies the neat selfie. It's nice to enjoy this season with those who make it fun.

They certainly look a very happy family, Brooke.
Excellent advice, and you reminded my of being a kid and doing jigsaw puzzles. All the pieces used to fit fine with the aid of some scissors. ;-)
Lovely images, and one of my faves is, 'for the pop when I blow a bubble'.
Very nice read.
Cheers, Ray xx

Thanks so much, Ray - both Miranda and Andy have wanted kids for a long, long time - before they ever even met each other. The first time she held one of her cousins when she was four, I knew. And Andy is just a big kid who loved playing with his nieces before they ever got married. Having Sawyer was the best thing that ever happened to both of them - happy, yes :-) Brooke

The three of them have obviously filled your life with joy, too, Brooke. :-) xx

What an excellent reminder to pay attention to the small, apparently insignificant things in life and to be grateful for all of them. I really like the repetition in each verse to convey emphasis. I also love the rhyming and fun in each verse. A truly wonderful Thanksgiving poem for children. Very cute!
