I have no doubt Blake and Lorna can cook up a good story. I know Luke likes Blake. Of course, that could really mess things up for him, couldn't it? I suspect Blaze would like to get to know the senator better. Blake is in for an interesting time, I think.

Thanks so much, Cindy. You're right, of course, since she was all gaga for his sexy bod when Luke was using it. She knows now what it's like to "be with" him and that explains the quivering. Oh, yeah, she wants him. I suspect he likes what he see, too, so she won't have much trouble getting to "know" him. LOL! And that is actually the start of a short affair where she'll get to know him too well... he'll be the catalyst for her to become what she will become in the book. :)

Excellent, sixer work. It's very interesting the way Lorna, with the help of Blaze, has maneuvered Clearwater into a situation where he has to let Blake go. It looks like they're setting up Blake's opponent, Clay, to take the fall. Blake's story is to be that he was drugged before he was committed, and now that the effects have worn off, and he's perfectly sane. The case is sure to get a lot of media attention, and may get Blake the sympathy vote. It will also help enhance Lorna's reputation. judi

Thanks for the pleasure of reading another of your fine chapters, pitting evil against not-so scrupulous, as we wait for Lucifer's right hand, Blaze, to add more sparks. Great job. :-)

Ric, thank you for a fine review, well-stated and complimentary. Blaze will show up tomorrow. She is the whole reason that Sen. Blake is in this book, and not JUST because he turns her on like no one else can. He'll be the catalyst that changes the whole course of her life! :)

She certainly hasn't become a kinder and gentler person...
Lot's of intrigue going on and it's very well described.
Fun reading and a nice lead-in to the next chapter. Most enjoyable.

Thanks so much. Blaze will show up soon, and then she will swoon for Blake... the real Blake this time. He's an impt char since he will be the catalyst to turn her against Luke and all the evil he does on Earth.

Well Lorna has set the stage, I'm sure the corrupt Senator will be able to fill in the gaps and his opponent will be blamed for the entire episode.Luke will be pleased with Blaze because it was like a game of dominoes. They just keep falling by the way! LOL Well done Phyllis. xxx Nancy

Thanks a bunch, Nancy. Blaze will be back in next chapter, but I needed to set her up with Blake, since he will be a very important char in the book--the catalyst that turns her against Luke and sets her on a path as a vigilante fighting injustice without worrying about the law. (Sometimes, I wish we had more of those brave people.)

Does Senator Blake remember at all his tryst? In any case, why do I think that the overall plan is for Lorna and Blaze to groom him for the presidency?

Thanks, Ed. I don't know why you think that. LOL! And no, those who are possessed are unconsciou the whole time... he remembers nothing.
Senator Blake is a very important character in this book, however, for he will be the catalyst to change Blaze's purpose in life, turning her against all that Luke stands for. She's been in Hell all these years and has not yet seen just what Lucifer's evil interference can do on Earth. She will, tho, but not until she hooks up with (the real) Blake and gets to know him.

The players have their scripts and deals are made. All in the life of a politician! Lorna is one snappy lawyer, Blake should be happy to have her "on his team." Good chapter, Phyllis. Looking forward to seeing Blaze again.

Excellent write Phyllis, the sheer deviousness of Lorna, Blaze and of course Senator Blake is almost beyond all comprehension, but this is what a lot of being in politics actually is! Poor old Clearwater I don't think he's been confronted by such deviousness such as this, well done, absorbingly written, cleverly conceived, blessings, Roy.
